The Ocean Floor Is Sinking Under The Water Weight From Melting Glaciers, And It’s As Bad As It Sounds

XLT, this is exactly what I am talking about and it's the very reason that no one can have any type of factual debate on the topic.  One side makes up some type of indisputable argument and use it for anything since they know that its very hard to prove that its correct or incorrect or if it is normal or actually due to glaciers melting or something entirely different.   So, then the opposing viewpoint will come up with something equally far fetched.

Must be why Al Gore's prediction of the coasts being under water by now not coming true.

Seriously they will come up with any excuse as to why their "models" or predictions are wrong.

Not one climate change prediction has ever come true, its like the poster child of denial :lol2:

How in the fuck can they accurately measure that the Ocean floor is .08" lower by an equation?   This is science fiction not science.

In a study published online in Geophysical Research Levels, researchers explain how they used a mathematical equation known as the elastic sea level equation to more accurately measure the ocean floor. This allowed them to see how much the bottom of the ocean floor has changed from 1993 to 2014. While they are not the first scientists to look at the ocean floor, this is the first time that researchers have taken into account how additional water from melted ice may have further stretched that floor, LiveScience reported.

What's even more unreal is how they publish that BS and the idiots eat it up.

They used and equation.   Holy shit I can't believe people buy into this stuff.

I'm not arguing the ocean floors or what have you but the earth has warmed.  Just because it's cold in your  backyard doesn't mean shit.  Just because I ate today, doesn't mean I solved world hunger

Using an equation is actually mathematics.  :bc:

You actually think they have the inputs correct or accurate enough to measure a drop of .08" since 1993?

Well remember that's averaged out over the entire floor, the mass calculations won't lie, if we measure the mass added to the ocean, and observe it isn't rising in proportion to the lost land based mass the we must calculate how much subsiding the floor is doing.

It isn't like someone went out and was diving to the ocean floor with a tape measure.  These results were more calculations done with the know parameters of mass lost off land and rise of the ocean (non-earth mass center level).

Measure the mass added to the oceans or the loss in land based mass.    Sorry but I don't buy they can do that very accurately.  Of course this isn't taking into account many other variables like changes to the water cycle in its impact on climate.
