After weeks of tensions, China and the United States have reached an initial agreement on trade.

Both parties said in a joint statement on Saturday that China has agreed to "significantly increase" purchases of US goods and services, in order to reduce the trade imbalance between the two countries. This was a top demand of the Trump administration during two days of trade talks in Washington with Chinese officials.

"To meet the growing consumption needs of the Chinese people and the need for high-quality economic development, China will significantly increase purchases of United States goods and services," the statement said. "This will help support growth and employment in the United States."

The pledge for more cooperation comes as the US and China, the world's two largest economies, have threatened tens of billions of dollars in tariffs that could lead to a trade war.

Both sides specifically agreed to "meaningful increases" in US agriculture and energy exports, according to the statement. The US intends to send a team to China to hammer out the details.

US officials on Thursday told CNN that Beijing had proposed boosting Chinese purchases of American goods by around $200 billion.

Imagine how brazen Hillary would have been if she had been elected.  Makes me shudder just to think about it.  Only thing she would have negotiated would be 200 billion to the Clinton foundation.

Soooo....the dreaded "trade war" is coming later or.....????

You know, maybe if one has zero to little business experience in negotiating deals or, is otherwise still so incredibly butt-hurt about their idiot king and lying queen being ousted from power, maybe...just maybe, you should shut your hole and open your eyes.  Watch better news and read better information.  It could be possible that something may just be learned here that is outside the stagnant status quo of idioitic career politicians selling off or giving away American assests and business interests.

Just a thought.  Undoubtedly, a thought that is angering people that just read it and know I am referring to them.

SO...CNN, in it's almost specatacular idiocy, reports one thing in an article then, in almost stupendous ignorance, recants and argues with itself in it's own affiliate publication a couple of days later.

I think this comes under my "read better news" comment.  Astonishing.  :lmao:

Leading up to the talks, the US had demanded China cut its surplus by $US200 billion ($266 billion), but that figure — or any other — was noticeably absent from the statement.

Given that implausible target would require China to at least double its US imports, when they have been growing at less than 5 per cent for years, it is hardly surprising.

Also missing was news about the future of $66.6 billion worth of new trade sanctions and investment restrictions the US had been expected to enforce from Monday.

However a hint of what might happen can be gleaned from China's conciliatory step of halting the retaliatory sanctions imposed on around $1.3 billion worth of US sorghum shipments.

No matter what Trump does, the Democratic reaction is the same: Outrage. When Democrats can't even praise Trump unreservedly for bringing American hostages home or show up when he fulfills a plank of the Democratic Party platform by moving our embassy to Jerusalem, it further convinces millions of Americans who abandoned the Democratic Party in 2016 that they made the right decision.

It's getting worse for them.  Not sure I understand why they keep it heading into the dumpster.

Both of these articles are CNN...and look at the FS retard libs bounding off the walls about it.  They don't even realize it's THEIR MEDIA reporting it.

Its not infrigment. Its a requirement that if we want to sell a product over there we have to hand over the blueprint for said product. Infringment is a walk in the park compared to that.
