He most likely will be gone, however the damage he has caused will live on well past his reign.

Up until Tuesday, and beyond, many a Trudeau appointee have belittled Trump and his supporters. I fear that will hurt our position as America's largest trading partner, neighbor and friend.

For months they have been calling Pierre and the conservatives all the names and pejoratives they do Trump. Calling Pierre, Trump of the north.

I hope that America's full potential for manufacturing, energy production a new found respect for the working class and the American dream of self reliance, home ownership and security spills over to Canada.

I may find much of the Donald's bombastic, short tempered irrationality concerning but I like many of his policies.

I could even put up with our leader's foibles, IF his policies led to better outcomes for the Canadian people.

Alas, our leader is not only a top down jackass, his policies have negatively affected Canadians at the same time.

I don't vote for a party or person. I vote for policies.

In Ontario that is difficult, as any party that has a chance at victory will continue the electorate down the path of financial ruin.

Federally there is hope. I believe Pierre understands the precipice we stand on as far as spending.

If Trump holds to the %2 NATO commitment all members agreed to, Canada will have to basically double our commitment. Another 40 Billion in military spending. Our leaders have tried to tweak the numbers, using spending in general areas to look like military spending. Trump will have no part of that.

Trump's last advisor on NATO came out this week and spelled out what the US wants. Arctic defence. That's where they'd come from.

I spent 9 years with a unit tasked to the arctic. Arc G. Good people, well trained. I loved my time in doing it. I was an asset to the nth degree. Still, we'd be akin to the Polish Cavalry when the Nazi's crossed the border.

We are surviving in tents, at minus 50, with machine guns. In that environment, its all you can do to survive. If someone attacks you from the air, your ability to survive would be slightly better than zero.

Only money spent on weapons, aircraft, troops and installations will do.

Go Trump.

Fake black woman? Trump can lead you by the nose to anything. Are you on night patrol making sure immigrants don’t eat the dogs?

It’s tough to argue with stupid people.  But I’ll try.  It’s Canada.  There are more than 2 parties. Up until Harper’s last election I voted conservative.  Since then it’s been the Green Party. They have a lot of things I don’t agree with but at this point it’s fiscally irresponsible to vote for any party that doesn’t have a solid plan on climate change. Mark Carney has been floated as a Trudeau replacement.  He is smarter than all four of your last batch.  If he gets the job, I’ll vote liberal for the first time.

Bust my balls over Trudeau spending $223,000.00 on what is an actual business trip to the G20 and other places without any info of how many people that fed.   Because it’s great when stupid people who support Trump want to pretend they care about their leaders extravagant spending.  That  entire food trip is what Trump’s daily golf habit cost the White House every day of his presidency.

Please by all means read the info below and pretend it’s fake news.  But just consider how out of control his spending was when he wanted a second term.   Now he has nothing to lose while he fleeces his flock

https://www.forbes.com/sites/chuckjones/2019/07/10/trumps-golf-trips-could-cost-taxpayers-over-340-million/

Here are some highlights

The GAO report estimated that just four of Trump’s trips to Mar-a-Lago cost:

  • $13.6 million
  • Do not “capture all of the total expenditures by the government”
  • Do not “include certain classified cost information”
  • $60,000 in expenses paid to Mar-a-Lago (there have been 24 so far)
  • Were not able to identify meals and incidental expenses, if any, that may have been incurred at the Mar-a-Lago club

rump golf outings over 2 and a half years

  • 1 of 193 outings were to the President’s Cup
  • 2 of 193 outings were in Japan
  • 3 of 193 outings were at Trump’s Ireland course
  • 190 of 193 outings were to Trump’s golf properties
  • 20 flights to Bedminster, New Jersey, to visit Trump’s course
  • 24 flights to Mar-a-Lago

When he was campaigning President Trump frequently bashed President Obama for playing golf and said that he would be too busy to play, “I love golf, but if I were in the White House, I don’t think I’d ever see Turnberry again. I don’t think I’d ever see Doral again,” he told a rally audience in February 2016, referring to his course near the Miami airport. “I don’t ever think I’d see anything. I just want to stay in the White House and work my ass off.”

It took less than two weeks before he broke that promise vs. Obama not playing his first round until he had been in office for about three months and Obama didn’t visit a course outside of the DC area until August 2009, seven months after his inauguration. One reason Trump has been able to play so much golf is that he inherited an economy that was in very good shape vs. Obama taking office in the teeth of the Great Recession.

As can be seen in the chart below from trumpgolfcount.com, Trump has played at least 88 rounds of golf since he became President, has likely played 139 and has visited golf courses over 193 days. These compare to Obama’s 76 outings over the same timeframe.

I can easily point to one major plank in both platforms. Get those that don't deserve to be in the country, out, and allow fewer in, unless they can be vetted as willing and able to build homes. and live in less dense areas. Supply and demand.

Axing the carbon tax will put money back in the pockets of Canadians directly. It is also set to increase from $65 to $170 per tonne by 2030.

Really, what government needs to do is get the fuck out of the way as well.

The idea that builders will build quadplexes or designs that allow multi ownership is a pipe dream. Who would buy such a thing when it's impossible to get a bad tenant out in a timely manner.

My neighbor on 25 acres spent 5 years battling with the county on getting a lot cut off for his sone to build a home.

Cost him 50k before a shovel hit the ground,

I pan on severing a few lots for family, and a dozen or so for homes.

It costs what it costs to build the home, government can't do much to change that.

Change the things they can

I fear it will be years in the making.

Cutting taxes, lowering fuel prices, cutting interest rates.

You don't think this will be good for potential home buyers?

Are you that retarded?

I listen to the house of commons usually once or twice a week or so. I mean the liberals are insane with the climate stuff and everyone I ever met says its a cash grab that only retards buy into...and the greens take that and say the liberals don't do enough of it lol.

I've always been convinced the green voters don't actually exist. We found one.
