They really should have gone all out. But to be fair they didn’t realize how popular Hitler’s rhetoric was with MAGA.

My hope is that the Trump election will help Canada the way a lot of US policies help us. As a cautionary tale just like your proliferating of guns and private healthcare serve as an example of what to avoid.

With any luck the liberals will realize it’s stupid to wait for a leader who’s past their best before date to leave.  They’ll toss Trudeau out the door and have a real leadership race.

Canadian’s Will hopefully be smart enough to look behind the mask of Poilievre.  We can’t spend 8 years suffering one unqualified leader and replace him with another one. Nothing in Poilievre’s resume is any better than Trudeau’s.  Mark Carney would be a strong candidate for the liberals. Freeland would be good but she has spent too much time close to Trudeau

Good god you're a moron. The Dems were so bad the last 4 years it was unprecedented. The complete incompetency of the Dems is why they lost and the American voter saw right through their BS and swatted them back to the kids table. But Trump capitalized on fear.....DERP! Do you ever get tired of being an imbecile?

They were so bad you had to pretend not to believe any financial reports.

I think I realize, now, why Barb is so scared of Trump.  He literally thinks Trump will be like Hitler, and ultimately come into Canada to take it over & Barb's combination wall of styrofoam & kayaks won't protect him

Too late for that.  TDS is terminal for him plus his 10+ boosters aren't helping any.

I guess that whole "Super immunity" claim was a lie.  Hell, Covid actually "cured" more than the therapy jab could ever hope.

Trump is gonna destroy the bullshit climate change green agenda.

Imagine what that could do to help boost Styrofoam sales to new markets worldwide.

They sure compete against hedge funds

investors buying up inventory is a bigger issue than immigrants

Statistics Canada data shows that more than a fifth of all houses in British Columbia, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Ontario were owned by investors in 2020.

It's the first time the Canadian Housing Statistics Program (CHSP) is publishing datarelated to housing investors, defined as homeowners that own at least one property that is not their primary residence.

The data shows that condominiums in particular — which constitute a majority of newly-built houses in B.C. and Ontario — are held by investors in high numbers. Over a third of all condos in B.C. are investor-owned, with the number jumping to 41.2 per cent in Ontario.

I don’t disagree that people that own multiple residences do add to the problem of home ownership, to a person trying to get into the market.

That however is a reality. All the stomping of one’s feet and crying will not change that. Adding to capital gains taxation won’t either.

Axing the carbon taxes will, as will freeing up regulation on zoning and general government intervention.

The easier and cheaper it is to build new homes may even take out the insensitive for corporations to own what is their investment.

I wish my home was only worth $100k to build right now.

That way I could build many more for friends and family.

if there were no regulatory bullshit, I’d buy an excavator, maybe a dozer and go to work on my 30 acres.

By the end of next year I could easily have two or three 1000 square foot prefab homes on my property, wells, septic systems and even a natural gas co-gen system with solar power to feed them….if I didn’t have the regulators on my ass.

I’d try it out anyway, if there wasn’t the worry of the gestapo sliding in and ordering me to stop.

I don’t think people owning an extra resident is as big an issue as having to compete with hedge funds.

She’s a bad choice because she out manoeuvred Trump during the trade agreements and he’s still sulking.
