Curious to know if there will  be a shoot out this year for the 3 manufacturers. Always good for shits and giggles on here. I suspect a washer guzzling fool will interject with the standard there will be no snow due to climate change. Has never prevented this event from going on in the past

  • The 858 that was on display at the hillclimbs was rode prior to being on display. Does your cousin know you're drunk at work, I cant imagine being 60 years old sober and acting like a 12 year old

  • drunk in the morning Jim?  its hard to test and tune something that's already been released to the public and is being delivered.

  • Why did you service it? You put zero miles on it

I am guessing there won’t be one. There is no value for the manufacturers to have it and it would be expensive and a pain to organize.

Last time I checked they were called “snow” mobiles. New York State doesn’t receive reliable snow. A SXS drag race would attract more attention.

You should buy one.  They are fun

All they have to do is change the date to later in the season. Anywhere from the Midwest to the east coast has never had consistent snow until mid January since the beginning of time.

I tend to agree with this assessment, I did enjoy the bantering that went along with this event

All did.  Until the shit talking owner of whatever model came out on top of whatever "shoot out" criteria got his ass smoked by some 2003 sit down model on the trails.  Whoops!

Always a good time on the internet tho.  :bc:

They should be doing it in late season right when the snochecks start

It would have a devastating effect on Cat if the Catalyst's got their ass handed to them...So much so...That I would venture a guess that if there was a shootout, corporate Cat would bow out...All the CATAHOLICS of the world have to wonder why none of these cheerleaders have lined this belt drive turd up with any of the other oems in a full on drag race and posted the results on their u-tube page...looooool

The auto parts store here is getting the same price as the Polaris dealer for a gallon of oil 62+ tax. I forgot to ask how much the klotz is they had on the shelf. Amsoil use to be a lot cheaper than oem oil

I noticed that. Our parts store here it's over 70. I run it in the kids 340 and my bearcat because it's available alot of places but damn.

Yeah C2c uses amsoil on everything but crank pins. He lets them do what they want

Notice how all the demo riders that haven’t owned a sled built in this century were going on about how the 600 catalyst eats 800s. All those people disappeared once people that buy new sleds got the 600 and the 858 came out.  They kinda tried to do it with the 858 but  it wasn’t effective as the 600 didn’t live up to the hype and everyone asks where is your turbo 2 stroke? Now cat’s marketing has left the chat.

Mountain boys stated 858 as good, if not better than the mighty 9R. Just stating facts.

I was one of many.  I bought into these contests about as much as I bought into the Sled of the Year from the rags.  Just silly fodder to me but, that's part of the fun of sledding too!

How about a "Sled made to be fiddled with if you own man hands" award.  Doo loses.  Did a compression test the other day just to see and fucking fuck...fuck!  QuebeCKiANz all have tiny barbie doll hands....it's the only explanation.

Is this not the same guy that stated the Catalyst sold out in days, back when they first came out.
