Bontz
My buddy has the XCR 9R on order and will be fun to compare against the VR1 Boost and Assault Boost we'll have in our group (and my N/A 850). Of course, that is if this climate change thing doesn't kill us before next season!
Crnr2Crnr
you Polaris guys are short on topics and conversations here... it's been total Madcatter domination since the new highly unnecessary chassis was announced. seems like a cool sled, the price is quite laughable and its certainly nothing I'd want, but savor the moment. $21,806 MSRP as shown in the video... Bontz
We can't say much ... our sleds are either on fire, or on a stop ride due to fire concerns. As far as the $22K you mentioned ... MSRP, yes but realistically not quite that bad. Still painful though, yes.

That's MSRP. Needless to stay sticking with the 22 for another year

Same comment could be made for the Catalyst 858, a 2000 ish XCR 800 would decimate it. Jus sayin
Doug
Thought about one but couldn't justify the large jump in price between an 850 and the 9R. Also the warranty with the 850 having 4 years and 9R only 2 years. For me I normally put on 4000 miles a year and then hand the sled down to my wife the 2nd year. Much better resale on a sled with 4K plus miles on and 2 years of warranty left vs a sled with 4K plus miles and no warranty.

You should be used to that god awful primer gray by now! The Assault I built (for giggles) was decent looking, and so is the sunset red VR1 with Dynamix. With mandatory estart ❓ This is just barely tolerable looking but better than the others.
Bontz
Would you seriously buy that, though? And if you would, why wouldn't you spend the extra $800 and get into the 850?

Cat wasn’t interested in selling anything bigger than a 600 in catalyst when I bought mine and said no one needs bigger than a 600. Mean while there was whooshing sound and windshield washer fluid spraying all over the skidoo booth when they were doing a demo. They couldn’t take 100 dollar bills fast enough from people buying a quart of turbo juice to take home.

No. That will give you a sled capable of going faster than the Minnesota speed limit. That will put the cows and rocks in danger
