I believe I read or heard somewhere that there are some states that do give that option.  I think it has to be their choice though as part of their sentence?  Either....prison (the real one), or castration and treatment and therapy.  Not really sure about it all though....and just the thought of researching it makes me both nauseous and furious.

Seems both sides here are partaking.  Not gonna get on my soapbox at all.  I just have a soft spot for animals and kids.  They need defending.  And that shouldn't be up for discussion IMO.  Even the Subway Jared jokes made me angry.....maybe because some were pretty funny.
