Yeah there’s a button to disable it

Wife bought 2018 Equinox last March and it had no way to disable it, BUT for $13 I bought a simple plugin that completly turns it off.

I don’t like it but also don’t care enough to bother disabling it

seems like a lot of complexity to save a gallon of gas per year

We put a starter in a car yesterday that had an internal thermal event, car has 35k on the odometer.. Figured she's saved about $50 in fuel with the stop/start feature..But she got to buy a $1700 starter..

Also wears the $300 starter out faster.

i have a plug in on my F150 as it's super obnoxious.  i have been in a few vehicles where it wasn't as obstrusive but i could not live with it.  i shut it off in the wifes highlander as well but she does not

Car didn’t have a powertrain or bumper to bumper warranty?

my vw has the button right next to the start button. just part of the program. the stop/start batteries are special too , 300.00. i myself hate that feature.

i like how the euros do that rather than putting it away like the japs and americans.   assistants BMW is that wayu so i flick it off when  we take it.

Same here .. I always remember to shut it off on my truck, but have to force myself to remember when driving the wife's Edge.

Pretty sure on my wifes GMC Yukon we have it turned off permanently.  If you hit the button that temporarily does it goes back into that mode.

There's really no added complexity compared to a vehicle without the feature.  It's just software.
