Catalyst HP

That's a big if, and sadly the other if is if it is a failure Cat is gone.  Nobody should want that even though sadly that is more likely.

Yup , releasing a new engine in a new chassis with the lowest hp in the class is an epic fail. Who wants to pay top dollar for the lowest hp with a company that has failed historically with a new chassis.

15 grand for 123 hp isn't gonna save them. Girls sled ffs.

It's not even New Year's .. unless you're just ambitious a week early for resolutions?  You sure are hellbent on being wrong today.

Face it, the Cat faithful will always exist, and if the 858 proves to be the real deal it'll be up to Textron to produce for the increased demand in 2025+.  Nobody with half a brain wants to see this sport down to two manufacturers (and some other bullshit electric outfit).

Go away Karen.

It is the same horsepower class for the Doo and Poo 600 so just SHUT THE FUCK UP! Still more power than you, in reality can handle.

The Poo 650 falls in the same class and sadly for you makes much more HP. The Doo 600 makes more too. It should have been high 120's knocking on 130 to garner attention, or a turbo. This is just meh for an engine and the chassis has NOTHING ground breaking that can make up for the lack of power. If you think belt drive hasn't been tried before by Poo and Doo for the trails you are very naive.

It is not a 600 class sled you dipshit! Can it race in the 600 class? NO! You fucking idiots racing the Dyno. No Dyno is the same and last time they did the sleds on the same dyno, same day, the Cat came in at 127 compared to 124 for the Doo. You are just to much of a moron to understand that.

The real companies build a race sled(140+hp) for the race track and trail sled for the trail. Nobody is racing the MxZ 600r either. The race argument is dumb. The guys looking at buying their wife/gf or kid a sled have a choice of a Doo 600, AC 600 and Poo 650. It's that simple.

You seem very upset over a sled that nobody has really driven yet and have nothing to go on except for what Textron and the magazines are telling you.

My money is on it getting SMOKED by the Poo 650, big time.

I have watched plenty of YouTube on the mountain Catalyst and they are loving it. The Poo 650 came about because they could not compete with a 600. Truth hurts dumbfuck!

Lower than what is the real question?

Not emotional, just disappointed Textron put out such a heavy under powered sled and touting it as ground breaking.

Amazed that some are eating it up and asking for more:dunno:

This will sink them.

You’re extremely emotional over a 600 sled, having a conniption saying that a larger sled might beat it like that’s prophetic or something

Media sleds will be stating to be built on January 8th. Full production models will start around the 25th of January. Demos are planned. I will stick with the proven 600. Best 2 stroke motor by far.

Well it went away how many years ago. Hated that smokey thing.

Who are you trying to kid.  You praised that engine and sled like every other thing that's come off the Cat assembly line.

In 2014 at the AXYS release Lenn Johnson specifically asked if this was the end of the RUSH moniker to which the guy from Polaris who's name you like to drop like you guys are BFF's replied "Yes this is an all new platform, no more RUSH"

Now if you can find me a 2015 + sled that had the RUSH sticker on it or maybe call your imaginary BFF and ask him?

Until then I agree with Doug:bc:

Also lay off the weed, your memory is getting burnt out.

I knew you'd get all worked up over this and try to turn it into some sort of gotcha.  Holy fuck dude - could you possibly get any more triggered, just because I told you you're WRONG?   Isn't your sled a 2015?  Is it a Rush or a Switchback Pro-S?  It's right on your hood   If your sled is a Switchback, all you need to know is that emblem is replaced with "RUSH" for the shorty models.

EDIT:  Here ya go ... 2019 Rush Pro-Simage.thumb.png.22b190b2ea82d892780bc7743782e92f.png

So yes, the Rush model existed until 2020, and I have proof that I can post here once my buddy sends me the pic of his 2019 RUSH PRO-S.  You really need to stop getting so invested in this stuff, and simply admit you're wrong ... because you are 100% wrong.  Sorry that you get so emotional over this stuff, but being the huge Polaris guy that you are - you should at least know what's correct vs. incorrect.

Holy ownage

Yes the rush name lived on but I look at the Axys as the end of the rush :ashamed:.  I'm sure the 50 mph person of interest knows the difference :pan:

Spy video here where he's warming up on the old ride before the official break in ride on the Catalyst.

Fair enough , obviously you are a Poo Guy so I was surprised you said that.

Thats why i said Axys , different chassis but Ramstad said Rush 800 couldnt keep up , who knows what year he was talking about. My 15 Rush was a fucking weapon on the trails . I like my Switchback better all around but a 120 Axys is hard to fucking beat in the tight and twistys

Last shorty I had was a 2019 XC129.  The rest have been Assaults or switchbacks so since the Axys in 2015 never really associated anything to the Rush name.  My bad :whiteflag:
