One UAW guy interviewed on this morning's news "We are in a fight for our life!"

Now the stories are starting to be on how the UAW might fuck themselves with this so we'll see what happens

I’m not sure how they’re fucking themselves. The entire global industrial complex is dealing with a labor shortage. The workers own the pimp hand on this one.

I didn't see the explanation to that claim yet. Maybe move more stuff to right to work states or Mexico. More automation etc.  :dunno:

The big auto CEO’s salaries have increased 40% in the last 5 years. The union members want 40%. Seems fair.

$100K base model trucks coming right up

with the president of mexico now being a member of the cartels, safety issues make that option much less attractive. Right to work states are facing the exact same type of labor shortage as other states. Automation is going to happen no matter what the workers do.

Shareholders demand YOY increases in revenue and margin.  Executives are measured on delivering that growth through any number of levers.  But without acquisitions that becomes harder and harder and in this space acquisitions are slow to mature and be profitable.  The workers are right to ask for their compensation to increase ahead of the profit margin.  And Management is missing an opportunity to give them the increase, reset shareholder expectation of growth/profitability and have a scapegoat for mediocre returns for the next 4-8 years.

Simple solution.   Let the Unions buy the companies then they can pay the employees and executives what they think is fair compensation.

Let's just see if they can go out and secure financing with the requests they are making.

What is with some of you guys and digging up old posts.  It’s generally creepy, weird and gives no context to when and why it was said.

Romney was the better choice in 2012 and has since turned into a rinos rino.

Only once the corporation pays back the money government handed them over the last couple decades.
