Gold Member BOHICA Posted June 6, 2023 Gold Member Share Posted June 6, 2023 When the Model 3’s Rear-Wheel-Drive trim level is purchased at its sticker price of $40,240, the federal tax credit of $7,500 and the California tax rebate of $7,500, brings the price down to $25,240, which undercuts the cost of the Camry, which is listed at $26,320 in its entry-level configuration. https://www.teslarati.com/tesla-model-3-cheaper-toyota-camry-california/

Or is this just for the upper middle class and elites to take advantage of?

In low use situation and you do proper charging likely cost you $0. Modern batteries if charged and stored at the proper level will last longer then 10 years without issue. Teslas are the worst built cars on the planet and they forgot to put an engine in it and an interior that looks like a 5th grader designed it.
Deephaven
Ha, Jim is almost right for once. Camry is quality, Tesla is shit is CORRECT.
Deephaven
The other aspect is that comparing the price after a government subsidy is garbage. Take the dumb subsidy away. If the car is worth buying it is worth buying, if it is not then don't fucking buy it. Shouldn't need a government hand out to make a car saleable. 3
