Rogan On Fake News

Recommended Posts

Been saying this for years.  We have a very small local  radio station that we listen to at work.  One of the long time radio personalities, who has a gay son, made a few comments regarding a local event that was newsworthy at the time. The advertising business did not like it. He went to the boss and said “tell him to knock that shit off or Im pulling my business”

The DJ did a big on air rant about censorship and the entire morning show walked off the job.

What kind of pull do you figure those trial lawyers have with the millions in advertising money they give to TV stations ?  Wanna bet the politicians they financed get positive coverage and saved from any negative coverage.

It pretty obvious.

Big Pharma is responsible for 75% of the ad money for the fake news and the government supplies them more.

They are owned.

no, trump picked and chose what was fake news based on whether or not it was favorable for him.

Trump was 100% spot on about the bullshit media.  Best thing he did was expose how corrupt the media is. Should of stuck with it.

As a on air news person, you do and say what you’re are told or you will be shown the door.  No breaking from your script.

I am continually surprised at how others are "shocked to learn how corrupt out media is". Our media has always been this way. I've pointed this out numerous times, they named their highest award after Joe Pulitzer, one of the two men responsible for popularizing what we call yellow journalism. I mean that right there tells ya all need to know.

A bunch of lying shitbags, the whole damn lot of them.

Of course. It’s a business. The business model is to give viewers the news that they desire in a manner that fits their view of the world. Fox News and how they went with the fake narrative of a stolen election is a perfect example. They were losing viewership to other networks that pushed the fake narrative. In turn their pundits pushed a lie. CNN did the exact same thing with russiagate. Whether you agree or disagree with the Ukraine war there’s narratives in either direction for that. There is no longer news. It’s forming, developing, and polishing acceptable narratives. I have no doubt that news corps are now using GPT Chat to write news stories.

Reporting is not what it used to be - simple as that.

Reporting of the news is much more diverse now. Compare what’s available now to the time of WWII and it’s much more diverse. There was way more bullshit back then-and all the way up to the time of the internet. The internet has expanded the amount of information that’s available. Currently you can find a news story that easily fits your view of the world just by going online. One could argue that there’s too much information at the present. That may be true, but it sure is fun.

Considering how much of the news is about or comes from govt and how in bed many in the MSM and SM is with govt does this really surprise anyone.   CIA, FBI, DOJ you name it all have their go to news organizations that it feeds their propaganda to.  This isn't just about fake news but our own govt's deception.

It was a good day when Walter Cronkite refused to carry the government’s water with Vietnam. He did it most his career. Nothing is new here.

Nope.  Not sure ever a time in our history has the public had so much distrust of both.   Not a coincidence.
