fwiw my wife is 1000x the human being I am or ever hope to be, she cares far more for others than herself and contracted Covid while heading up a major fundraising event for Hospice and Comfort Care over the past week.  her elderly mother who had up until the past few months had been in independent living, then moved to assisted living had a sudden bad turn in the past week, ended up in the ER, was released to nursing care and is to have a Hospice consultation tomorrow.  my wife has four siblings and was wisely put in charge of her parents health care and financial decisions long ago.  but now, thanks to people who might possibly have the same deranged mindset as some of you seemingly do Covid was passed along to her and now she isn't able to see her mother for the next five days.  her fear and my concern for her is that if her mother does happen to pass away, she won't be able to be there for her... and that scares her which deeply angers me. 

so when I stated 'Great News' in the title of this thread it was with much sarcasm.  we're all here to have fun... hopefully, and I'm as much of a fun loving asshole, troll and realist here as much as I attempt to be in real life.  so with this all being said... fuck you, thank you and I hope you are able to consider others in the future as we all attempt to get through this shit, together.

Congratulations on your wife heading up a fundraiser.  My wife , I , and her friends didn’t have the option of hiding at home for 2 years.  They had to go in everyday around 100s of Covid patients.  Rolling them over, watching some die.  Bringing it home to their loved ones.
 So politely fuck off if you want to call us bad people because we got together to unwind with some laughter and drinks. 
what did they get for all their sacrifices after the hospital took millions in Covid money?   Not a penny….
