They cleaned up pretty good. Could be better but I was too lazy.

80 grit = less slip.

I had no 80 grit and didn’t feel like going to town. I used some imitation scotch brite I use on dishes. Hit with some acetone to finish it off. Clutches were nasty. That reminds me, I need to go get more to use on dishes.

I use red scotchbrite from the autobody supply, and follow it up with

acetone

I have a whole box of the maroon scotchbrite pads, surprised one of the magic clutch tuners aren't selling these for a 4 mph level up

Mine was the green. It’s not aggressive enough. I used a magic eraser I had laying around on the out sides and it got them decently clean. There is way more belt dust all over that sled than I thought. Gonna have to buy a power washer and give it hell this spring. My coolant bottle is black.

I find that VLR cleaner and magic eraser pads do the best job cleaning for me, except the gray sleds.  91 octane and magic eraser pads cleaned those the best.

I wish I had water in my shop. I may get a harbor freight parts washer to solve that problem but then I have to worry about it freezing

Looks like a groove on the fixed sheave right where top of the belt sits when it stops shifting.  I hope I'm wrong.

I know what it is.  For a simple $99 payment, you can as well!

Seems kind of steep?  I never paid anything for my insider information on the "racer gear set" from ZR6000RR .   Solved all the clutching issues!

No All true!  The gears work in the 870's also.

I usually just drag mine down a gravel road behind my truck when I need them deglazed.

Don't hold your breath on the snow. Looks dismal. 48/44    Load up some weight and don't be afraid to possibly go even SLIGHTLY lighter pressure(finish) in the secondary with that 44 finish.   You might get away with a 140/200
