What happens on the first day of communism and going forward. Besides mass starvation and looting and killing and shit. Fuck alot of food has doubled in price and our utility company just sent out a message that rates are going up 40% this winter. So yeah, they are driving it right into a wall. I’m not saying this can’t or won’t happen, but it’s not a foregone conclusion either. The political winds have shifted, the pendulum is swinging. If the right people get in and a little hard medicine is swallowed I still believe the economy can recover. 3 plus years of double digit returns kind of goes against the whole sky is falling outlook. And equities have traditionally been the best response to staying ahead of inflation. I posted a really good market outlook piece yesterday. You guys should take a look at how economists analyze the markets and overall economy. Serious question, In order for true socialism to work in the USA, we would need pretty much the entire earth to be socialist as well, correct? Because if they were not, we could be invaded? The reason countries who aspire to be socialist/communist often have large militaries is because the US and other capitalist countries would constantly invade them otherwise. Communism has always been seen as a global system. Communism is stateless.
