If the theory of it making the leap from a bat to an intermediate animal such as a pangolin to humans were the case, one would be able to identify infected pangolins all along the thousand plus mile span between the habitat of the horseshoe bat and Wuhan. They have tested thousands of pangolins and other candidate critters for signs of infection (such as antibodies) and found absolutely zero. China is playing mafia with PPE, vaccines, and other critical goods where it has control. If you speak out about the source of the virus, Xi cuts off your flow of whatever goods he can hurt you with.
