Well considering how much more we spend than everyone else and ours is only 3% of GDP I'd still say your claim doesn't have factual data to back it up. I'm not saying or claiming we don't spend too much and have done things we shouldn't have but I simply disagree the MIC is the single larges emitter of greenhouse gases. Commercial air travel and container ships would produce exponentially more. Remember its not just the jet or ship exhausts but all the industry supporting those things. If analer is correct and the MIC is the biggest or one of the biggest causes, then why does the American taxpayer keep getting pushed to do their part. No matter if he was correct or not, obviously, the American taxpayer is not the cause of the CO2 issues, yet the government wants us to take responsibility.
