By the time that there’s a vaccine available this thing will have worked it’s way through the human race.

A good percentage.

I believe your claim on no vaccine ever created for a Coronavirus is wrong.  They created one for SARS and H1N1...both coronavirus types.

I could very well be wrong on that. My understanding is the SARS vaccine went unfinished. They basically contained the illness and it’s vanished. I thought H1N1 was a ribovirus.

We have a vaccine for the flu, how many die regardless?

How many more would die if we didn't?

Many, it's dangerous to people.

Also many.

For SARS-CoV-2 the best thing we can do right now is to isolate ourselvesu ntil the wave passes while we work towards some vaccine.  COVID-19 still seems an order of magnitude more deadly than seasonal flus.

Wasn't h1n1 a corona type virus?   They created a vaccine relatively quickly for it.   Still not one for MERS and that was really deadly.   30% mortality rate in some countries.   We'ed be in a world of shit if this had a 30% mortality rate.

I think H1N1 was a ribovirus. To my knowledge SARS and mers were the first really deadly coronaviruses.

H1N1 is influenza viruses, where SARS-CoV-2

is a novel coronavirus.

I am a "boomer" and am not one bit worried about this, going to go about my life like any other day and laugh at the fools losing their shit, I have enough supplies to last awhile and didn't need to go to the store in a panic to get them:thumbsup:

Say the guy no one lives 300 miles from.

CDC: 80,000 people died of flu last winter in U.S.

When covid 19 dies out and the dust settles we can compare numbers.   I don't buy the hype, just saying you can't compare last years number to a current outbreak that may taper off or not. :bc:

It's tapering off in some parts of the world already. Nothing is conclusive yet but this hype is just crazy. Like I said in another post, the left wing media, once the numbers are in and they're nothing like what is being hyped up to be, will claim a victory that if they didn't do what they suggested, the numbers would have been in the thousands/millions.

Pussification, and another gauge to see how much the public has bought into fear mongering.

I don't disagree with you, I just think it's premature to compare numbers yet imo :bc:

medical experts and the scientific community are calling for these types of measures, not the media.

You can dislike the manner in which they present these facts and how they sensationalize the message, but the message is not one they created. Truly bizarre you and many others see it that way.

Truly bizarre how you think the media isn't playing this up adding more fear to it all the time? Many medical experts think this is overkill, but guess which ones get air time, and how come we never hear about those that have recovered from this? It's always more infected, more deaths, never any recovery stories. :news:
