Bernie Sanders' candidacy are willing to risk a messy, brokered national convention this summer, which could be potentially damaging to the party, to prevent the self-described Democratic socialist from becoming the nominee, The New York Times reported.

Every political party has there own rules, if you don't like the rules don't join the party.....pretty simple eh.

The people are supposed to pick the candidate...not the elite of the party. Their rules are garbage and don’t reflect a democratic process, that much is obvious.

Yep the process was put in place to stop a electorate brainwashed by an un-electable candidate.   Sound familiar?

Many people on here think the govt should control things in peoples lives, especially the poor.   How is this different?  :pc:

The people will have a choice in November.

It's a political party and they have rules, no one has forced Sander's to join the Democratic Party.

If the Democratic Party deems it's in there best interest to go another direction that's there choice, and Bernie can avoid this by coming in with enough delegates to avoid a brokered convention. The other thing to consider is that the superdelegates are dem office holders, party chairs, etc. in other words folks that a vested interest in making the sure the down ticket candidates have a fighting chance to win.

Listen be honest, you guys are looking at this with a jaundiced eye in that you think Trump's best shot at winning along with keeping the Senate is having Karl Marx Jr. on the Dem ticket, that puts you and many Dem party chairs in agreement......How about that!! :thumb:

Pretty much nailed it. Sanders went through this last time around. He folded then and is now back doing the same thing over again. He knew the rules and should have run as an independent if he didn't like the DNC’s rules.

Last paragraph is spot on. :bc:
