ActionfigureJoe
This is the president. Airplanes are becoming far too complex to fly. Pilots are no longer needed, but rather computer scientists from MIT. I see it all the time in many products. Always seeking to go one unnecessary step further, when often old and simpler is far better. Split second decisions are.... — Donald J. ActionfigureJoe
There might be a few clinkers out there on the commuter routes, but even the younger flyers are highly trained professionals. Many are ex-military with lots of hours.

Gold Member Kivalo Posted March 13, 2019 Gold Member Share Posted March 13, 2019 Navigation is increasingly computerised in the Maritime industry. It's so much of a problem that the major Maritime colleges started mandating terestial & celestial navigation to combat complacency. I am a product of that notion. Computerisation is helpful but it can be detrimental as well.
