This may actually turn into something…

I’ll go pretty much anywhere the snow is - as has been pointed out, last year was really good here south of the Twin Cities for quite a while. Our club does a number of trips, and I’m out there most every week somewhere. I’ve done some amazing backpack trips all over the state of MN and western WI. Not sure I can actually pick a favorite, but up in northern MN on the “big” trails are definitely at the top of my list. Very common for me to take 4-5 days with one crew riding out of a given location, then ride a few days myself, then hook up with another crew for 4-5 days all in the same “trip” racking up 1500-2000 miles.

Since this is a "Sledder" site, hoping the plan to ride from Gunflint Lodge through Canada to Crane Lake works out with @HSR this year!

Just my little observation, I'm sure it has ZERO merit among the climate experts here, but driving to Pool league on the opposite side of the Twin Cities last night, when I left my house 15 miles south of the Twin Cities, it was 93 on my car thermometer, as I rolled through downtown St. Paul it read 98, and as I reached my destination another 10 miles to the north of St. Paul, it read 95... Just a friendly preliminary observation that can't be verified and has no since when...

As a Vikings fan, I saw waaaaay too many of those highlights live... Sanders was simply amazing.

Funny you mention that, it is almost the same exact size as the Sconnie pass - I joked with my guys about putting it on the front corner of the windshield but was told that’s about the only place you can’t put it. But why? I’m sure they are afraid of people swapping but the serial number is not on it, just the same numbers you can now take off. They’d have to run it to match it to the serial number. And unless you did something really bad, I think all they want to see is the valid “26” year.

I thought maybe he just had a Nadler moment... quick wipe of the rear and back in front of the podium!

There were some good songs after DLR left with Sammy at the front, but the over all ALBUM listening experience was certainly lacking. I can listen to almost every single album end to end with DLR. And you are right, when Eddie put that keyboard in front of himself, that took a lot away from their sound. 1984 is a great album, but that was certainly the beginning of their demise. IMO. I did see them live in Chicago at the Tinley Park outdoor amphitheater during their Balance tour (Little woman surprised me with tickets and a weekend adventure), and it was a damn good show. Skid Row was the opener... A few years later when they were at odds with each other playing at the Xcel Energy center in St. Paul, when Sammy was on stage, Eddie was not, and vice versa. It was more of a Sammy Hagar/Van Halen twin billing! LOL

Triple-digit ocean temps in Florida could be a global record

I stop at the BP in Niellsville, WI on my way through there, and last year during a cold -20 day in February, the woman at the counter was a bit whiney about it being so damn cold, and how she couldn't wait for it to warm up. I said "We ain't bitching about Global Warming today are we!?!" - She laughed, and said, yeah, just wait until July and August... Here we are. -
How many years ago was that now, 4-5??

Triple-digit ocean temps in Florida could be a global record

Of course it is - and we are going to get our "What we reported yesterday as 'could be a global record' was due to an anomaly in the location the temperature was read" in 3...2...1... NOT. -

Completely agree. But let's get it right before presenting it as "could be a global record". -

Well, that's awesome. I understand how trends are looked at, and they surely do show trending warmer. In this big scary warming world, they sure do a good job at pushing the fear. Preliminary presented as Preliminary - what ever. You and I both know too many people will run with that "Preliminary" reading as they push it, as the "Record" until they don't talk about it anymore. Will they present us with a correction, that the reading was an anomaly? You know the answer to that as well. Again, what are we going to do about it? You already answered that also. Nothing. -

PRELIMINARY presented as FACT. Anything to catch a headline... Are things warmer this summer? Yeah. Basic question: WHAT IS THE TEMPERATURE SUPPOSED TO BE?? Any experts here have that answer?? -
And just what do you propose we, you included, do about it…

It’s a pretty big sticker on the side of the sled… I’ll probably pull the old off and have to put it over one of the creases there.
