dirtybeacher
Looks like we are moving into a weak La Niña due to the warm blob in the nw pacific. I'm going to throw it out there that we are in for a good season.
Stud boy
I would like to think that with is warm weather that Georgan Bay (which is up 8-12" from last year) will freeze up later in the season giving us the great snow we so want and need. Some say I think too much also.

soupkid
Guys take no offense to the following comments and if you do I don't care !!! For fuck sakes its not even August yet and your worried about winter. Most of the province has been baking under an extended heat wave with brutal temps with even higher humidity. Lets not worry about winter until at least late September, maybe even october.

Frostynuts
Since those weather people cann,t even predict yesterdays weather correctly, I wouldn,t put any faith in next winters predictions. I,ve never seen any other job were people can be so continuously wrong, and still keep a job that is so highly paid. I seem to be able to predict the daily weather by looking out the window, each morning. Keep the faith, this winter will be a good one for all us snowmobilers. We're doing out usual thanks giving camping and now that you say that, I don't believe I have heard one rattle off the trailer roof yet! You see them on the ground, but who knows old they are. On another note, there are tons of mushrooms.

Same with down here, but a great horned owl and what I think is a Peregrine Falcon have been around here lately too. I wouldn't have believed the great horned owl in these parts but I seen it for myself after I got woken up at midnight due the skunk smell that made it's way into the house! Those suckers are huge! Seen this one a couple years ago but unsure what type of bird it is?
