If the economy is stalling the first thing everybody cuts is capital projects, thats me. Commercial, institutional, retail, multi-residential, industrial, etc... In 2009 everything clammed up hard. The only thing that kept alot of us afloat was the Recovery act jobs. All of our old clients were dead in the water. In 2011 Things started to move again, then the pubes threatened to shut down the govt and everything clammed up again. same thing happened in 2013. when the last one backfired on the republicans they passed a budget and 2014 we had our best year ever. Only to be topped by each consecutive year. Tennant space, retail and commercial are slamming right now and have been since 2014. So say whatever you want but I felt it and some of my competitors didnt make it out alive during that 2008-2011 stint. Bush had more stimulus bills than Obama did and they were pathetic. The only way they could get things moving was to ease up on lending restrictions and let the credit market fuel the market. It imploded pretty quickly after that. Gdp hasnt been above three is almosr 10 years.we are 20 trillion in debt and that doesnt include the 200 trillon in unfunded medical and Social Security liabilities.
