Driving up demand drives up costs. Supply and demand at work. Few up here want to be landlords, let alone build purpose build rentals. We are letting is a million people a year and struggle to build 200,000 homes. Yet the idiots in the cities keep voting for those that make the immigration errors. 10 hours ago, Rigid1 said: And the cost of 2 bags of chips went from $4 to $10... The cost of food has gone way up, even the shitty yet tasty food. $6 a bag at a convenience store now. The high cost of energy, carbon taxes and trucking doesn't help Edited September 13, 2023 by Voodoo

Not to mention many apartments have more amenities now than ever before but its all an average. Shit my nephews apartment building has bar, arcade and free golf simulator. I like how the left likes to pick and choose something cost wise from over a decade ago ave cost wise and look at it in such a narrow view. He also fails to recognize a lot of the people making minimum wage here are getting Government low income housing. They aren't struggling for food either. Just drive around Hartford CT and see all the newer BMWs and Acura's parked in the hood . Then they get out wearing brand new $200 sneakers . The "Middle class" works harder and pays for everything like always.
