Europe is running low, too. “The military stocks of most [European NATO] member states have been, I wouldn’t say exhausted, but depleted in a high proportion, because we have been providing a lot of capacity to the Ukrainians,” Josep Borrell, the EU’s high representative for foreign affairs and security policy, said earlier this month. This way the shells are used for what they were made for killing Russians but without exposure of US soldiers. Russia just made a couple of procurement announcements in the last few weeks which are hilarious. One is the refurbishing of cold war era T62 tanks which could take 5 years and the other was the cancellation of the SU 75 program which was supposed to be an F35 equivalent.
