So, will the Dems stop acting like obstructive, petulant little children and help themselves by confirming arguable one of the best SCOTUS nominees in history?  Or, are they looking for "duck and cover" safe places already?  If their activity since the election is any indication, well...

Originally I thought they would save the fight for the next one.   They are going to go down in flames on this one.   They want to force the GOP into using the nuclear option so they don't look so bad for doing it in 2013.  Huge risk considering how many more nominations may be needed in the next 7 years and 9 months and how many dem senator's are up in states which Trump handily carried.

Truth be told I hope they confirm.  It's the smart thing to do.  But I don't think they can do it.  Like you posted, they want the R's to do the "even Steven" deal.  And it's just plain stupid.....I don't know what kind of weird pride they are holding on to but it is most likely going to cost them at least one more nominee in the next eight.  It's political ignorance like we've never seen before.  They've taken what the R's were doing at the beginning of Obama's first term and taken it to the Nth degree...for what will amount to their party's continued struggle to somehow stay relevant to their supporters.  All the while....economy will flourish under Trump and well, they'll lose more and more ground with this attitude of theirs.  IDIOCY.

Let them filibuster but do not move on to other business like normal.   Make their people stand up there for days on end.   Show the American people who are the obstructionists.

harry reid  and the dem party started this 51 vote issue, the Repubs will use the same playing card for the next four years. The trouble is with the ebb and flow of politics, no party has a total lock on power for ever. Watch for others on the Supreme Court later this year to retire. Dembankster wallstreet upchuck will be a complete total failure as he shot his wad on the wrong jackasse(d) fight.

If this goes down this way on the Dem side...then they are complete idiots.  COMPLETE!  Shit, how old is Ginsburg?  Mid-late 80's.  The dems would have to be completely stupid to push this as a bluff.  Now, in the same thought, if the R's don't do what they said they would and "Nuke it", all respect lost.

The media talking points have been trotted out on buzzy , if you look deeper on the net , she is in poor health at best , having   attention issues plus having to have O/2  in her home an office, travel , while not in public view.  Kennedy , Buzzy , Thomas will be the next to go out the doors at the court. imo .

The Dems are really not playing this well I think. Considering who Gorsuch is replacing they should not be digging their heals in so hard. There are two left wing judges that may not make Trump's first term let alone a second and by their actions are setting up a situation where a far more conservative judge ends up in one or both of those seats.

Isnt that what republicans did from 2009 to 2012? And dont think that i am defending it but this is what we get now. They did it so we are going to do it. We have to stop voting for these 2 party asswipes.
