Trump has used every excuse but he had them on his property, some found in his own office closet. He filed suite he wants them back so he admites he had them. They requested the docs last year. In May Trump turned over dozens of boxes of classified top secret info. His attorney signed a doc stating that was all of them. The National archives still found missing docs and requested the rest. Trump declined and that set the JD to issue a search warrant to collect the balance.
