Im not positive what the stock spring rate is to be honest. Ian would be able to give you the best advice based on your weight and where/how you plan to ride.

If the xrs shock is the remot rezy clicker then its a very good shock. If its not a remote rezy clicker then its no better than the one you have.

xrs shock would be a pro 40

Most of the guys around here like it just the way it came. Some of the more agressive riders put a 225# spring on the center shock. Other than that they were pretty close out of the box.

Cool, feels much more damped than my DBA. We'll run it.

Yep.  Good unit.  I pretty much set it 3/4+ stiff and let fly.  Good for a wide range but spring gets soft quick when backing it off.  A pretty wide range on this shock.

Hey @Jimmy Snacks this would be a great shock to pick up if you can find it cheap...and rebuild it.  You have the SC-5 skid, right?

Ummm  Bad news folks.  Those shocks won't work on a Skidoo TNT.

Ummm....it doesnt matter either way because he's gonna be 3 or 4 sleds down the line by the time you get these shocks to him either way.

What is the issue?

Well looking at the picture, those shocks must have come off some older Polaris or something.  They have SAE hardware.  You can see the bolt head on one of the bolts and it's a grade 8 bolt so that means those are 3/8" bushings.  You need 10mm bushings.  Bushings are $12 each and you need 8 of them.
