I have a mix of FXR Bibs  and a Klim Keewanaw Parka plus  Scott and Fly Racing Jackets....Thinking about adding a Klim Valdez to the mix. For boots I have a pair of FXR with the BOA System...love ‘em!

Forgot about my TekVest…it’s an original that I bought almost 20 years ago.

Helmets are CKX Titan and 509 Carbon Fiber with assorted goggles.

I can be found out there in a variety of shit from full on matching poser gear to ski jackets and Carharts….and of course:

Pretty much the same riding gear except helmet for the last 7+ years.  All Klim with the FXR gauntlet gloves on super cold days, and some Arctic Cat helmet I bought in a pinch a couple years back when a shield went to hell on me on day 3 of a 10 day trip.

I've had the ass on the Bibs sown up twice.  That gear has north of 30k miles on it.

Klim Keweenaw bibs and coat

Fly uninsulated bibs and coat

Fly carbon helmet

Assortment of 509 goggles

509 gloves

Klim boa boots

You know how I know that’s not you? :news:

Klim everything but goggles. Those are 509. Both have been my go to for 10-11 solid years. I’m finally retiring my 11 year old Klim boots this year, to snowblower duty strictly because it’s time to go BOA.

Maybe also the fact that he is not trail riding.

And he can actually throw down. Especially considering the fact that he’s in a T. rex suit.

Tek vest, Klim or motor fist jacket and bibs, motor fist boots and socks, klim under layer, motor fist or klim mid layer, 20 year old gortex leather gloves, olympia I think, multiple helmets and balacavas, depends on how cold it is.

I'm pretty sure I have the same duffle bag in my closet.  Did they come with a shoulder strap?

Yes it has a shoulder strap too

Doo or Polaris jacket

Choko or Castle bibs

509 ignite helmet

Doo boots

Olympic gloves

If it weren’t so expensive to do so, I’d switch over from bibs to pants and a TekVest.

Having worn a chest protector in martial arts for years and never really got used to them.  It’s like wearing a barrel.  Still, I’m pretty sure that’s better than getting impaled by a tree.

Anybody have any tips on how to figure out which vest to get?

I switched over to FXR bibs and jacket a couple of years ago, because they have that flotation liner and I do a fair amount of riding on lakes.  My FXR boots have the BOA thing that’s pretty slick, but the cord is cutting through one of my boots.  Theoretically, that has a separate warranty from the boot, but I’ll probably get one more year out of the boots and replace them anyway.  I like CastleX gauntlet gloves, not sure why they work so well for me.  For riding in below zero F, I break out my Polaris mittens, which date back to 1990 and are still the best hand protection when my bar/thumb warmers are working correctly.  They’re really too thin, but trap the heat from the bars so well that my fingers stay nice and toasty, even while the rest of me freezes.
