Another point is that places like Walmart pay low wages because they know their employees can get snap and other benefits. These benefits are supported by our tax dollars, our taxes make up the difference between the low-wage and a living wage. If the Walmart stockholders weren't making money, it would be one thing but every penny of our taxes paid to supplement low-income employees goes directly into the pocket of the stockholders.

I wish more people would have read this book than me 15 years ago.  They actually train employees how to suckle from the teet of society.  They are also masters of getting taxpayers to pay for all the infrastructure required to build a new store and avoid paying taxes on the property once it's built, while operating and when they abandon it.

Our Tax code is bought and paid for by many different interests...I say we institute a flat tax that everyone pays, everyone.

Besides corporations dont really pay taxes....Its part of their "Burden" the cost is added into the product or service that you buy. If we raise Corporate taxes we will simply be raising the cost of Goods and services we consume. Pretty simple math for anyone that has ever run a business.

To both, a lot of the shenanigans are federal, but there's also a great deal of state and local manipulation and loopholes they take advantage of.  Walmart is the easy target, but a lot of big box chains play the same game promising jobs and sales tax revenue.  It's a sham.

Walmart got sued for taking out dead peasants insurance. They were taking out life insurance plans on older and sickly employees and cashing in when they died. It’s so fucked up that one has to laugh.

Oh yeah, that shut is socialism too, I'd even say it's worse because alot of it is just backroom deals with kickbacks to the law makers at the cost of the tax payers for the awarded contracts or tax breaks.  How do you think Hunter Biden is sitting on energy boards in Ukraine getting rich?  What do you think the military industrial complex is all about?  With their no bid contracts to private firms?  There are so many layers to the corruption in all these things.  How do you think all these politicians get rich making the government salary that they get?!?

What do you think those stimulus bills were all about??  Very little actually went to people, it was mostly going into giant billion dollar industries like the airlines etc.  One person said that 1200 that you got is really costing you 40 in the end . People are too dumb to care though at the thought of a whopping 1200$..

I think the guy in that video missed the mark by somehow directing this just towards conservatives.  That is playing into these politicians hands.  All the people need to be very critical of ALL the politicians... Not just the ones you vote against.  Because then it's very easy to just turn the focus against the other people that don't vote like you, and the politicians just sit back and watch you play right into their hands like a dumb lemming.  Divide and conquer.  Know who the real enemy is and stay focused.  Just look at this forum or anywhere else in this country, you're all stupid and doing exactly what they want you to do.

As for what you said, Walmart or any business pays the least amount they can in order to get the quality of employee that they need.  Period.  It's called business.  The rest of that shit you said is irrelevant and making something simple seem more complicated.  If those social programs weren't in place and your little theory about employees getting handouts results in accepting lower wage, If that theory is true and the handout dried up and employees quit, Walmart would just increase their wage enough to get the type of people they desire.  It's hardly worth talking about.  There may be a million different factors why a certain person accepts a certain wage and it really doesn't matter why.

If you're saying these handouts is somehow a corporate welfares because it allows business to pay less... Well I don't think so, but hey at least we can agree then that those handouts shouldn't exist because by your thinking, it's just corporate welfare.  So we can agree then, no welfare programs for anyone.  Perfect!

Funny, because I voted for Ross Perot.  "we" didn't blow it, the WE realized that perot allowed clinton to win.  The only people that want change realized that voting that way allowed the worst to win.

I voted for him twice (92/96) and have never voted for a democrat or republican for president in my life.  Perot was the right man for the job at the wrong time.  Ironic that the commission on presidential debates is sponsored by the democratic and republican parties and they no longer allow third party candidates to participate in their debates.  Two party tyranny has done more damage to our system of democracy than it has helped.

he gave us the Clintons but he in fact was the only vote I can say I was actually excited to cast in the 8 elections i have voted in.  Bush, Bush, McCain, Trump and trump were votes against the other.  Romney was acceptable overall to me but nothing great in 12.
