It really is fucked up what they are doing to the kids these days mentally.

When you are spending almost 2 million for a STATE School superintendent race, it really must mean something.

Education is about a third of MNs state budget,  who controls that is important.

Its another giant bubble that is going to pop. College debt also

No worries, they'll just make student loan debt part of the next stimmy package!

A massive insult to those of us who either didn't acquire debt due to educational choices or have paid off what debt they did acquire...

Traditional education is secondary now.  Indoctrination and activism is more the lesson of these schools.  It's much easier to keep all students on a common curve that way.  Also, it keeps the population dumb on history and common sense. Making sure the weakest link breaks the chain every time is now liberal favor.  No worries, China will take over the tough thinking jobs for us.

They should only make white students pay!

This made the news now, it is a non partisan race, but the spending says otherwise.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Outside spending in Wisconsin’s race for state superintendent has topped $1 million, the most ever spent by special interests trying to influence the officially nonpartisan race.

The race for Department of Public Instruction secretary pits Pecatonica school district superintendent Jill Underly against former Brown Deer superintendent Deb Kerr.

Underly has the backing of the state teachers’ union and a wide array of Democrats, while Kerr is favored by many conservatives.

The Wisconsin Democracy Campaign tracks spending in the race and said Monday that $797,600 has been spent by groups supporting Underly or opposing Kerr. One group has spent $209,000 to help Kerr.

To date, $797,600 has been spent by groups supporting Underly or opposing Kerr. The American Federation for Children, a group that supports private school vouchers which Kerr also favors, has spent $209,000 to help her in the race, according to the Democracy Campaign.

The biggest spender helping Underly was the liberal group A Better Wisconsin Together, which has put $778,000 into the race. Planned Parenthood Advocates of Wisconsin spent $16,295 and the state teachers union, Wisconsin Education Association Council, spent just over $110 on postcards for Underly.

The previous record high for spending by outside groups in this race was nearly $694,000 in 2009, the year that now-Gov. Tony Evers was first elected state superintendent.

Progressives have announced a new effort dubbed A Better Wisconsin Together to serve as a hub for message development, testing and communications ahead of the 2020 elections.

The group also will be the new home for the liberal advocacy group One Wisconsin Now, which will merge as a project of A Better Wisconsin Together.

The overall effort, organized as 501(c)(4), will include rapid response and earned media as well as digital, TV and radio ads. The group will have an affiliated 527 organization that will focus on elections and independent political activities.

The board overseeing the new group is chaired by Michelle McGrorty, a veteran operative. She most recently worked for EMILY’s List before leaving this year to consult domestically and internationally. Her past work in the state includes leading Greater Wisconsin.

“With so much at stake in Wisconsin in 2020, A Better Wisconsin Together is bringing together what’s worked for progressives in the past along with new ideas and tactics using the best research and communications tools available,” McGrorty said.

Garrick Delzell, a national consultant for progressive organizations and campaigns, will serve as the group’s interim director and issue campaign senior adviser.

One Wisconsin Now Deputy Director Mike Browne and Digital Director Cody Oliphant are going to work for the new organization. OWN Director Analiese Eicher recently announced her departure from the group.

Michelle McGrorty is listed as Senior Program Manager for Political Parties, Ukraine at National Democratic Institute (NDI).  Yes you read that right,  UKRAINE!!!!

She even changes the spelling of her name for the US.  From mishel makgrorti to michelle McGrorty.  Folks, this is the type of stuff we are dealing with in our elections.

I don't miss WI politics at all.  The Repubs in that state are out of touch and the Dems are simply the nastiest, dirtiest MFs in public office anywhere.

This is everywhere. The corruption has been so bad here for so long we are just used to it. We (Illinois) has had several governors go to jail (republican) so its not Just democrats. the pay to play used to be very brazen and out in the open. Now you have to hire a law firm (lobbyist) to get the sweet deals. It has basically bankrupted the state but still continues. The unions are the most powerful right now

There is no doubt that corruption has zero party affiliation.  But, the people behind the scenes and the ideas and agenda's they possess does.  That is why we need to start by outing the people that are on the boards of these lobbying groups and where they are from.

LOL.  Glad it's that simple for you.  I see people who change their names to hide nationality, or blatantly lie to act like they are a victim like rachel dolezal or jessica krug.
