Those are the best days.  Once you're past that initial cold in the morning and you're good to go for the rest of the day, you can't beat it.  Unless you get onto a rail grade at 5 pm after the sun is going down and you haven't eaten in a while and the cold starts to get into your bones and you're 40 miles from an open pit.  Had that a couple times too.  That sucks.

In the twisty bush trails you stay warm easy if you ride hard. It’s the field trails that are home of sexual

Yep.  I dress light and am good to go but if I cross a lake or open area....I can feel the wind seeping in.  Lake crossings are just awful and we avoid them.

Man that axys floor boards on my assault just blows the cold air right up your leg. Vince and I were running a grade at -15f and my ass literally froze. Ive never had that problem before but I was literally in the bathroom blowing the hand dryer down my bibs to thaw my ass out. I bought a heated seat that week LOL

I got a little bite on my nose from my goggles venting. I started taping my nose up after that and was fine. It was -27f when I got back to the truck Saturday night

It was a few degrees below zero when we got back to the trucks in Tofte on Saturday afternoon.  Think we loaded up around 3.

Above 0 I'm good.  When it gets below -5 or -10F that's about where I call it quits.  It isn't too bad if you keep moving but even something like a blown belt wouldn't be good in temps that low.

I always figured a heated seat would be a surefire way to get a case of the monkeybutt
