Bear Head Lake State Park south west of Ely has winter camping available - amazing the number of people you see going in there.

I have ran in to people out snowmobiling in the middle of no place WI walking the north countery trail . Usualy pulling a kids sled with there gear . Funny thing is most of them I have run in to are from other country's who came here to winter hike the trail . The other thing is every one of them has asked if we would run the trail in the direction they were hiking as far as we could lol . Would not catch me out walking and camping  across the WI woods in Jan but all the power to them . Also mostly crews of like 4 people .

Still surprises me when I run across some one miles away from closest road or sled trail . Always stop to shoot the shit make sure they dont need anything and just to get what has to be a interesting story and usualy is. Then I look at the chicks and think to my self man that beaver must be getting really out of control by now lol

Any of the places mentioned in MN and add Brimson MN for winter camping. Or set up at my place for the vid
