Who takes credit for the vaccine?

Who takes credit for the vaccine?

  1. 1. Who takes credit for the vaccine?

    • The Trump administration gets credit with Operation Warp Speed.
    • The private sector takes credit, government isn't capable of anything and just slows the private sector down.

I'm likely to believe the Pharm's were given the vaccine by the Military.   3 companies create almost identical vaccines we were told was virtually impossible simultaneously?   Come on people use common sense!   Makes me think China's enemies have been preparing for this since 2003.   Not hard to hide having the vaccine but it would be hard to have 300 million doses sitting around.

Why aren't we hearing about the amazing scientists that made these break throughs?   There had to be some individuals who had significant roles in their creation.

Well, let's not pretend like DC doesn't work hand in hand with big Pharma/big business either.

This whole thing is fucking crock of shit.

What ?

Barely. How about right side of gov't and the private sector.

I have a sibling that helped build and design some of these vaccine places. Without the gov't this time, things wouldn't have gone so fast !

From what I heard in an interview with a medical expert, this vaccine already existed. It was developed in response to the previous Corona viruses. They just modified it to work for COVID-19.

Does still seem strange that several pharmaceutical companies all had products available within a couple weeks of each other.

How many were they producing during the "trials."   They sure can make them fast.

Some of the early work was done at universities, long before anyone knew was covid-19 was.  Pretty amazing technology that was in the pipeline and could be adapted quickly by big pharma.  They had already been working on commercializing it for quite some time.

The methods were out there for a long time.  Patents were given which basically outlines how the technology works.  Others got around it by doing something similar, but different enough.

It really comes down to a couple of scientists that wouldn't give up on an idea.

It is pretty incredible how much this approach to fighting disease is going to change our future.  One of the most amazing aspects is the fact that it is also cheap.

The long relied upon method of growing virus to create antibodies is slow and creates expense.  It is also hard to adapt the vaccine to each new variant unless they try to do a one size fits all approach.  Again, another slow process that also involves guessing which variants to include.

I'm sure that a long list of people will stand in line to try and take credit.  Chest pumping is part of human nature and some do it better than the rest.  Some of the credit should be given to the funding process and volunteers for testing.  Simultaneous stage testing is a big part of the speed this time.  Sadly, a whole pile of people getting sick and dying also created a ton of data.  The fact that Covid has been tracked as a functional single disease has allowed sickness and death to be used as a real statistical tool.  In some ways we all contribute to that process just by going out and playing in the minefield.  The more we play, the more data we provide.  Ironically, most of us can give ourselves a pat on the back and take credit.

Will a similar method be used on the seasonal flu vaccines do you think?

Thanks for yet another informative post.👍🏼

mRna vaccines have been developed for the flu, zika, and rabies with mediocre results. Concerns remain about localized and systemic inflammation from those vaccines. This is the first time an mRNA vaccine has been widely used. No one knows the outcome.

This is going to way beyond something like the simple flu.

Way beyond. . .

You will be shocked in the near future at some of the body ravaging diseases.  The approach of "turning the switch" opens up a whole world of developing treatments.  The method also uses information like the disease and bodies genetic code to create a defense.  It's huge.

Nothing is ever perfect, but we are witnessing something beyond anything we even imagined if very recent history.

It is interesting that we are getting so caught up in the idiosyncrasies of people taking and handing out credit for this fight.  We will look back at this time in a very different way going forward.  This is a different game now.  The scientists that worked so hard for years didn't see this coming.  We are at the Spencer Silver, Art Fry and his hymn book point.

What’s been the track record of mRNA vaccines? Far less than miraculous.
