Here you are sent information where your polling station is and lots of opportunity to ensure you are registered. When you arrive you need to provide ID and you are marked off as having voted. That's how it is where I vote and that's how it should be for everyone. No proof of being registered to vote, and ID proving you are that person, no ballot.
