After Bernie’s Win in Iowa, the Democratic Party Is Shitting Its Pants

Recommended Posts

BY

CONNOR KILPATRICK

Democratic Party leaders like Tom Perez have long dismissed the threat posed by Bernie Sanders. With their meltdown in Iowa after Bernie’s victory, we’re witnessing the final crumbling of that delusion — and they have no one to blame but themselves.

Earlier today, Democratic National Committee Chair Tom Perez, announced via Twitter that he was calling for a complete “recanvassing” of Monday’s Iowa Democratic Caucus — a contest Sanders handily won by popular vote and was likely to win by even the party’s own deeply confusing and arbitrary official metric known as “state delegate equivalents.”

For those who want to give Perez the benefit of the doubt, CNN reported that the DNC Chair made the call specifically due to the method in which delegates were being awarded to the satellite caucus sites — places where Sanders crushed his competition, particularly in those that were disproportionately working class and nonwhite. At the Ottumwa site, Ethopian immigrant workers at an Iowa pork facility handed overwhelming victory to Sanders, with only a single Warren supporter — a staffer for her campaign — preventing a complete Sanders blowout.

...,..............

You might remember Perez from the 2016 Wikileaks hack of the DNC, in which he made it clear that the DNC and the Clinton campaign were one in the same: “I also look forward to my appearance on Telemundo tomorrow where I can trumpet [Hillary Clinton’s] strong support among Latinos and put a fork once and for all in the false narrative about Bernie and Latinos.”

And they keep coming back.  After a while you would think, those that are not in on the fraud would leave, but they keep on.

It’s getting harder to find it funny anymore.  We’ve been stuck with a shit, two party system forever and now the Dems decide they just want to implode.  Zero leadership with fucking morons for a base allowing their leaders to think for them.

Makes you wonder how many of these people believe they are on the dole and would lose government money if they voted for any politician who wants to cut public programs.

"Benjamin Franklin reportedly said, “When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic.”  They learned that from the 2008 election and turned out in big numbers again in 2012. "

I think they have officially broken the democratic party. Bernie supporters arent going to just flip and vote for the corporate dem candidate. Pretty much guarantees a trump victory but we could actually see the rise of a a legit third party from this.

Every off white American will not vote for Trump this time. Sorry guys he’s alienated himself big time.

Besides he lost the last election and never was the peoples President.

Weird, I watched him on the news yesterday and the media introduced him as “president Donald Trump”

:ashamed:

I think it's funny how messed up the Iowa caucus was, yet you still think that all 3 million extra votes for Hillary was somehow legitimate.

Dude you have no idea what you are talking about.   Trump will get more AA vote than any republican has in a long time.

Maybe. Trump is on a roll right now but you cant say what will happen in a couple years. $23trillion in debt with increasing deficits and reckless corporate borrowing/spending could blow things up bigly(as many are predicting already). And as much as everyone cries about socialism everytime they blow up the economy what does everyone scream for? Socialism. bailouts. Bail out the banks, bail out the unions, bail out the corps. next time it blows up people might actually be smart enough to say enough with giving the top all of the socialism.

True.   I wasn't accounting for a significant economic collapse as in 2008.   Without that though two left parties just fucks their chances.

Of course that is a no brainer thats why I said Trump is pretty much guaranteed a victory unless they make up some other way to get him removed. But this blatant alienation of democrat voters wont get swept under the rug any longer, they are going to lose alot of their base.

They already did. Why do you think trump won. When you look at results from 16, a lot of blue collar non liberal democrat towns went with trump. Cops and union construction workers who in the past has predominantly voted dem think that dems have gone ultra left bat shit crazy.

Not sure who you think their base is but its not the far left socialists.   I know that is how the media portrays them these days but there are more dems that consider themselves middle than do far left.
