I heard the simp stammering his explanation of the cancellation on the radio while driving. What an awful public speaker he is without a script to read from. How did he ever teach anyone anything ?

Quote

In fact, May was downright sorrowful, calling the move the worst government betrayal of her adult life.

Quote

"It was never a betrayal when Stephen Harper did the very worst thing [for the environment]. But when you believe in someone and they let you down, that's much harder," May said, her voice breaking.

Further, May said, "As a women leader of a federal political party in this country, I am deeply ashamed that our feminist prime minister threw two young women cabinet ministers under the bus on a key election promise, that he left them twisting in the wind and not fulfilling [the promise]."

Suck it up princess. A politician lied, stop the presses!.

So much for "border security" if you can just walk across the border:

http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/manitoba/22-refugees-enter-manitoba-1.3969874

Letting these people stay is a slap in the face to those that actually follow the rules and enter the country through proper channels.

Ahmed grew up in a small town in Somalia where his father was a local chief. In June 2014, Ahmed said, his father was murdered, and since he was the oldest son, his life was also threatened.

Weren't the local Somali chiefs typically corrupt individuals who were living well and subjugating those "under" their domain? At least that's what one of the Somali people I used to work with told me.

"I … received calls that I would be next and I would be killed," he said.

"I was supporting my family in Somalia, my wife and my kids."

Wouldn't the lives of his wife and kids be in jeopardy still being in Somalia? Why would he leave without them?

So now we have a group of 22 that will not have any screening and just be given a year of free ride on the tax payer expense.

Since April 2016, the council has opened 270 files, with a large increase in the fall.

Maybe Truedope should hang out in the farm fields and give the illegal "refugees" winter coats. Send them back and let them apply through proper channels with proper background checks.

Reminds me of going thru secondary inspection at Ft Erie back in the 90s. A whole pile of grocery bags beside the door into the offices. I asked the customs girl what was up with all the garbage on the sidewalk. All she said was, "Refugees".

I wonder if these "knowledgable and full of life experience persons will be successful?

http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/manitoba/u-of-m-safe-third-country-1.3967341

What's to stop some of these "refugees" from flying from the EU (supposedly safe the last time I looked) to Canada (losing their papers on the way) & arriving in Canada?

Has anyone questioned the Shiny Pony on this? Sure lets bring in a bunch of unskilled refugees, like the truck driver from OH (ex Somalia).

Mulcair was on to Lil Potato over this:

https://www.thestar.com/business/2017/02/06/growth-council-suggest-spending-to-upgrade-skills-for-job-market.html

His response was if a person was to look @ the Liberal website, that they are firm in keeping it 65. He wouldn't say that he'd tell Morneau it wasn't up for consideration.

I'm pretty sure all that the Americans have seen of him is pretty sanitized. Other than his visit to to see Obama, it would be safe to say that the US media has ignored him.

I'd even be willing to give them Truedope and some significant cash as well in exchange for Trump. Truedopes trade in value is pretty low.

Well Mainstreet just released a poll and most Canadians prefer Trump steering our economy than our Boy Blunder.   I guess growing the economy from the heart and budgets balancing themselves ain't cutting it.

The feds just gave Bombardier Aerospace a $372M repayable four year loan. They wanted $1B. It doesn't have any mention of interest. Outside of Quebec it isn't a popular move on the part of the feds. As the article says.

Critics outside the province of Quebec also think the federal funding for Bombardier is a disappointment; they consider the funding too generous.Aaron Wudrick, a spokesman for the Canadian Taxpayers Federation, says taxpayers should not be bailing out private companies."We're disappointed that they did but, if there's a silver lining, it's the fact that it's substantially less than [Bombardier] asked for." Wudrick worries government loans will become the norm for struggling companies.

"There are thousands of Canadians every day that lose their jobs, companies that go under.…If you add those together, they're the size of several Bombardiers. But no one thinks of bailing them out, and I think it's a problem when we start to treat large companies different than we would any other."

Meanwhile former ministers in the Harper government took to Twitter to call out Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for supporting Bombardier while phasing out the oilsands in western Canada.

 http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/montreal/bombardier-loan-reaction-1.3971626

So PM Trudeau wants to "phase out the oilsands" because of C02, but gives $400M to subsidize C02-emitting aeroplanes

Trying to find the Ipsos poll that said that 60% of Canadians feel the Shiny Pony will protect Canadian interests if NAFTA is renegotiated. I couldn't find it, but did find these tidbits:
