teamgreen02
That's good compression but can you look into the cylinders to check for any scoring? Use a borescope if you have one or have access to one.

AKIQPilot
Did you use the little chrome adapter fitting screwed in to the spark plug hole or did you screw the hose directly into the spark plug hole? Did you hold the throttle open and pull at the same time or did you tape/have someone else hold the throttle wide open when you pulled. You should pull 8 times as hard as you can with both hands on the pull cord. A good 2014 IQr motor will have between 150 and 155psi of compression with an accurate gauge, throttle taped wide open and strong pulls on the cord. +160psi is not out of the ordinary. If you had pythons like @Polaris 550 instead of @f7ben noodle arms the reading would be much higher!

Hose directly into plug hole and I held the throttle myself and pulled 6-7 times. Tomorrow I'll try this way and see what I get...thanks. My gauge looks just like this one.... Ok and when you look inside the gold fitting at the end of the hose do you see the schrader valve right at the end or is it up inside that fitting an inch? AKIQPilot
3 minutes ago, Jimmy Snacks said: It is right at the end. Sounds good. Your compression is fine. 135-140 is acceptable. Different gauges will show a different reading. Every technique could show a different reading. You are good to go. Maybe check again midway through the season and see if nothing has changed.
