Ali 2 - Frazier 1

All those fights back then were great and it seems like they were always on regular TV but I could be mistaken. Throw in the likes of Tommy Hearns, Hagler, Duran, Sugar Ray, etc......great fighters.

I would like to have seen Muslamid Ali dropped like a fukken rock. I mean smashed hard, and knocked out cold. Something like a Mike Tyson hook when Tyson was like 20 years old. A basic jaw breaker.

Shut Cassius's fukken mouth up for once.

Might as well have. After the fight Cassius went to the hospital and George went dancing with his wife

George was just never good enough to beat a top guy. He could clean up on bums and medium talents.

Ali was the greatest fighter ever.

That’s a fair statement. He pretty much had all the weapons. Speed, intelligence, endurance, timing, agility. It’s not that he couldn’t be beat....anyone can get beat in a combat sport, but he was the best.

Some say he couldn’t beat Tyson but Frazier was his days Tyson.

Rope a dope was classic.

With todays athletes, talent of yesteryear would be minor/amateur league at best.  Ali was good for his time but definitely not on the level of today’s pros.

Not saying that those athletes of the past could elevate to today’s levels though.  But their best back then doesn’t compare to the best now.
