That was probably about 8-10 years after I got out of H S . first I ever heard of "huffing". We had real drugs like coke, acid, weed. They've pretty much killed it now. The only thing that's straight DXM nowadays are capsules. You'd have to do an extraction on the syrups or the guafensheisen will have you puking your guts out before you even hit 2nd plateau.
