Tapes were for boom boxes and cars.  I never owned a single 8 track though.  :nea:

First time in my life I heard Back in Black was on an 8 track.

And now people are buying up the old vinyl at ridiculous prices.  My buddy bought a box of records at an auction a couple months back for $75. It included some old Kiss albums. He sold 3 of them for $250.

I still have some of my vinyl and a stack of 45's. Nothing worth much though. I think my Ex still has the good stuff in her basement. I didn't give a shit when we split 18 years ago. I keep prodding my kid to go snoop around. I had a neon beer light down there I'd like back, some signs and some old Nascar stuff too.

I probably had 150 45's when I got rid of them. I know some of them would be worth something today.

Always more vinyl for me and made tapes ZERO store bought cassettes  :)

I didn't listen much at home so I had more cassettes. I had a 30 pack travel case for tapes in the car. Some store bought, some I recorded my self and some recorded by friends on good equipment, Those were always the best. I remember going to Sam's and buying 10 packs of BASF tapes. Sometimes splurging for the real good tape.....lol

OUCH!! And to think I traded about 5 or 6 Kiss albums for practically next to nothing way back. :wall:

Is there a site/place where one can see what some of these old albums are going for? Luckily I didn't get rid of all them.
