Oh, btw, Shri Thanedar (or whatever the fuck his name is) is a douchebag.

Abdul is a good choice for the next Gov, but the state Dem party is fucked so they'll push the establishment candidate on us.

This is meant for weak minds.

theyre only counting what nestle pays for royalties. Residents of flint have to pay the end user amount of the complete processed water. Processing and shipping and everything. It’s 100% not comparable.

Well, some additional food (and water) for thought......

CLAIM

Nestlé Waters pays next to nothing to take water from Michigan.

FACTS

All industrial and commercial water users pay the same price if they own the infrastructure. Nestlé Waters pays the rate set by the local and state authorities at all of our sites. We do not receive a special rate for water use. While it makes for catchy headlines, we are not buying millions of gallons of water for $200. That $200 is an annual fee that goes to the state, similar to a car registration fee. It's just one of the many expenses we pay to operate in Michigan.

No one in Michigan actually pays for water.
What we all pay for is the cost associated with infrastructure, quality and delivery of water.

We make significant investments in local infrastructure – we're talking hundreds of millions of dollars.
Since we began operating in Michigan, we have made capital investments totaling more than $267 million. The company's economic activity generates nearly $5 million each year that support state and local taxes, which fund local schools, fire and police departments, local parks and other essential public services.

We create good quality jobs for Michigan residents and support local businesses.
Our company directly employs approximately 280 people in Michigan and buys $51 million in goods and services from Michigan companies. Nestlé Waters' Michigan presence results in a total of 765 jobs created statewide and more than $160 million in economic activity, putting more money in the pockets of Michigan residents and small businesses.

My bad.  Best to stay to the emotionally charged politcal rhetroic for sure.  Things really work out well that way.

Not emotionally charged but it does serve to point out how fucked up the situation in Flint is and how badly it has been mishandled.

ZERO question about that.  But Nestle really doesn't have anything to do with that.  The "53 times more for water" seems to be some misinformation designed to smear big companies.

Abdul is just another liar stoking the "big business is evil" firepot.  But...that's what the voting public wants, that's what they'll get.  A Nestle Free zone!  Probably work out well for them.

Which has zero to do with what nestle pays for royalties to the government for “raw water”.

The problem with Flint’s water lays at the feet of Governor Rick Snyder. Nestle had nothing to do with the that catastrophe.

Come on man....work with me here!

My issue with nestle compared to the the other water bottlers is nestle is draining water from springs. The others are drawing water from the same sources as municipalities. There’s long term consequences to what nestle is doing, and they really don’t care. There, is that better?

Seriously, what the governor did costs elected officials they lives in other countries.

Ok so besides opinion and semantics you really can’t point out anything actually wrong happening here?

Does the public water utility pay more for royoties to the government for the same water as nestle? That would be the only comparable argument and if that’s the case then yes something is wrong with it.
