Liberal logic on school shootings.

For anyone against teachers VOLUNTARILY going thru training for having a weapon at school.  Nobody is saying they should be forced to carry.  This could be the same thing we have with pilots in the Federal Flight Deck Officer program.

Would you post a sign up outside your home stating it is a gun free zone and follow thru with it by removing any firearms because that is EXACTLY what we have done to our schools.  Most fail to realize school shootings in many cases are done so for the notoriety they get.  Some even take pilgrimages to Columbine.

Law Enforcement should be the only ones needed yet here the FBI, local PD and Sheriff's office repeatedly failed the community.  Its even coming to light the school district may have failed by letting this kid off on the Promise Program.   But hey even when all these places failed lets blame the NRA.

The Florida School wasn’t a gun free zone though.  There was a school resource officer there that had a gun and did nothing.  His presence did nothing to deter the shooter in any way.

Who was not in the building.   GUN FREE ZONES does not mean LE cannot carry in them.

Did the shooter know he wasn’t in the building or that he wouldn’t run back in?

That answer was about as lame as it gets.  Sad!

Democrat policies rely on taking rights away from the people and giving it to the government.  Anything that doesn't do that, elite democrats convince the minions that it is not worth supporting.

He very well could have.  Its not like the shooter was suicidal and kept on shooting until confronted.   He walked out with other students and escaped.

Did the shooter even know there was a cop there.

He had gone to school there so it makes sense that he would know.  Was the resource officer something new?  I honestly don’t know, but it seems likely that if he was a student there he’d know there would be a resource officer there with a gun.

The system completely failed on the law enforcement side on many levels and yet there were teachers shielding kids inside the building. Something I would have hoped the LEO's would have done, but they did not! I wonder if those teachers wished they had a gun at that moment. A way to actually defend themselves and those kids

The kid was not suicidal.   There is a reason why he dropped the guns and left.

I am betting they did

Let's say we ban AR's and AK's.   Does anyone think for a second places like congress will stop having armed security because of it?   I can think of one attack against congress and it wasn't even at the capital building.   It was at a baseball field where the shooter probably assumed nobody armed would be.

I'd like someone to list the known mass shootings at places the shooter(s) know people will be armed.

ice, you're dealing with bozos who think conceal and carry is the answer to crime everywhere. so of course they're going to apply that same logic to schools. they're incapable of dealing with reality, a reality where trying to correct a problem makes things worse, or costs a lot of money and doesn't do jack shit.

https://www.massshootingtracker.org      Here's a good place for you to start looking.  You won't have to stop at the 48 that have happened in the first 58 days of this year. This has info all the shootings from last year.

Are the security guards in vegas hotels armed? That was a big one. Was the hotel one of your gun free zones?

I also found that Chris Kyle and his buddy were killed at a gun range. By Trumpster logic, that should have been the safest place. Somehow the shooter managed to kill two well trained, armed men and escape a gun range. Where were the good guys with guns? The cops had to capture the shooter.

That website lists based on number of injured.   The vast majority of them are not random in nature....the type we are discussing here.  In fact many are murder/suicides of family members.

Sorry but the next 2 examples are simply apples and oranges and nobody is claiming arming teachers will stop ALL shootings.

You really have no concept of what a gun free zones are?

Teacher with guns is the dumbest fuckin idea ever and anyone here who supports this is a fuckin idiot too.

You're too late. There's already 10 states already have laws in place as mandatory and handful of other states that say the campus has the right to choose

As it should be, a local decision. Let the folks in these communities decide how they want to protect their kids. Not some yahoo in Washington.
