  1. Should have all the parts tomorrow. Here's my list: Install heavier rear spring Install rebuilt shocks Replace plugs Replace chaincase oil and adjust chain tension. Replace brake fluid (high temp racing DOT4 fluid) Install the new BRP rail mount scratchers Put on WI trail pass Clean clutch faces and adjust belt tension See how much of a mess the mice made this summer, might pull off airbox and exhaust depending on what things look like.
  2. Getting locked in here for race weekend. New Roku hooked up to the garage TV. Should have all my parts here tomorrow. Picked up shocks last weekend. Finally found the Lynx service manual online so I can look up things like toque specs and how to change the spark plugs. Never even had the hood off this sled! This is all that needed to come off to remove the shocks. I'll put the big boy rear spring on when it goes back together.
  3. Just looked, not a single engineering position in TRF is open.
  4. Aldi's inventory is probably new but mine was still from last year. Just smoked one last weekend I bought there on a sale last year. Turkey is so much messing around. It's a pain in the ass to prep, brine, cooking it sucks, and at the end of the day it isn't any better than a Costco rotisserie chicken for $5.
  5. Probably was a fresh turkey from a high markup DC grocery store. Aldi was 99 cents a pound for a frozen Butterball yesterday. Think they were trying to move the left over inventory from the sale last week.
  6. Max is a racer, he wants to beat you on the track. I like Max for calling it like it is, he thinks the track sucks and the fans getting a $200 merch credit instead of a refund for Thursday is BS.
  7. The Sainz penalty is BS. Sounds like Mercedes was going to be the only one pushing for the penalty. Toto would be the biggest loudmouth if that would have happened to a Merc. https://www.facebook.com/reel/726201012710126?mibextid=YNcHmz
  8. Sweet fuck, it's about time. My dad moved a significant amount of money out of Vanguard to Fidelity for this exact reason.
  9. The ticket prices are the main problem. Flights were around $200, hotels less than $300 within walking distance, just need to stay off the strip.
  10. I was really close to pulling the trigger on going to the race this weekend. Figured the first year was going to be a disaster. Have to see how the track actually races tonight. Austin is probably the race to go to so maybe I'll do that one next year instead.
  11. The worst thing about the climate change fraud is how ESG has infected corporate America.
  12. Probably ok if you can fit whatever you are hauling in the 4 ft bed. If not, it better be a small trailer on a local route.
  13. How do you get rust stains out of concrete? Asking for a friend. I'd never buy another truck that has a steel body. The salt and deicer just dissintegrates the steel.

  15. I always use the recommended OEM fluid for the transfer case, transmission, and differentials. It's not that much more to use the factory stuff if bought online from places like Rock Auto. Differentials you can probably just use a good synthetic of the same weight. Transmissions especially should be OEM only.
  16. It's not just apartment life but city life in general. When I lived in St Paul was the only time I ever had anything stolen. They broke my window to steal a car stereo, broke into the garage and stole a bunch of my Craftsman made in usa hand tools, and tried to break in another awhile later. That was enough for me and gave my landlord his 30 day notice I was moving out. That would sting. Bet he is still picking out shot from beneath his skin.
  17. BRP sells a plastic protector that works pretty well. It comes stock on some sleds but not all of them, no clue why. Instead they use little stickers that wear through and don't cover enough area.
  18. For trail marking I personally like two markers, it's easier to see and keeps the trail consistent. Our club switched to singles and I hate it. The trail ends up being a single groomer wide in each direction. Once it gets whooped out the trail is 100 yards wide with sleds going everywhere. Then you think you are on the trail and all of a sudden you hit a big dirt clump since the trail is only groomed one pass wide. Then the next club over does it completely different...
  19. Yes, I do. Currently running the Ski Doo rail mount scratchers but looking to swap them to the new style before the season. We are out early on Friday and Saturday morning so the trails are really set up, especially after they groom. Spring riding you may be parked until noon if it gets above freezing during the day and freezes hard overnight. Just not worth the risk.
  20. Everyone moved production to Mexico. Instead of offshoring to China they are nearshoring to Mexico.
