The truth about the world we live in

Recommended Posts

The truth about the world we live in is that we all play by the different rules.  There is a façade that the rules apply to everybody. when you examine the injustices of the world, human trafficking, oppression, hunger, homelessness crimes against humanity, War, governments run amok and special rules and privileges for the rich and powerful you begin to see that the rules and laws only apply to the masses.

I respect the rule of law however I do not respect the rules of law the weather being applied as we know it.  When your position of power for the size of your wallet allows you special privilege above the law you have an unfair society.

Unfortunately both don't seem to care, all they care about is their iPhone or the next sporting event or the next Star Wars or the next concert they are going to.

This has been true since recorded history and beyond. There will be no changing it. What you want is pure communism. While communism if pure is the best for all of humanity, we will never see that happen either.communism is the worst thing when corrupt, and every society that has entered into it has been oppressed by the corrupt leaders. So, we have a semi free capitalistic society where everyone has a small chance to become powerful and rise up to become above the law. Best chance in the world is here. Even if you don't, the laws are not repressive, life can be wonderful, and yes we may be fat cows, but if you are slick you can avoid the slaughter.

Its the over all level of blatant treason without accountability thats got my panties in a bunch.

In all cases of govt corruption and brutality you have one thing in common... Government! Whether it be democracy, socialism, communism, monarchy, Sharia, etc... I have a few friends who always preach the free market principles is the truest form of freedom and fairness. However I see the flaws in that also and the ability to manipulate it.

I think the government that was established by our forefathers was a brilliant attempt at a free and fair society. It has taken these fucks 200+ years to compromise it and the damn constitution is always a PITA for them. Really what it takes is for people to stand up and do what is right. And if you are just choosing the lesser of 2 evils you are still choosing... EVIL.

If we stuck to the constitution as it was written, if we prosecuted people within the government for corruption we would be fine.

Instead we've bastardized the constitution and criminal political hacks run free

And as a result, the USA is currently an oligarchy.

I AGREE.

I think it showed incredible foresight, that has stood the test of time and is relevant as it was 200 years ago.

Some things never go out of style.

I honestly believe if the media hadn't corrupted itself we would be living in much different times.

We have lost an important check & balance.

Wow that broad is a thinker. She just figured that out in 2014. Just look at the last several presidential elections. 1988 - George H.W. Bush. 1992 - William J Clinton. 2000 - George W. Bush. And now in 2016 we have Jeb Bush and Hillary Clinton running for president. If that doesnt say Oligarchy right there. And with the Bush's you can go back to Prescott Bush's political career. Al Gore and his father's political careers. The Kennedy's. Rockefellers. We definitely have a political class. And they have a different set of rules than the rest of us.

The media was just as bad during Revolutionary times as it is now.

We have had a political class since the founding of this country, this is nothing new.

Ahhh yes.....the old go along to get along approach. Why do we have to accept it?

How so?

They actively promoted one party and covered up fraud for them?

The media was no where near as influential as they are today.

Not even 20 years ago.

True.  But a lot has changed in the fundamentals of how that class thinks, and in turn operates.  Not saying they were overly self righteous back then, but they were a lot more conscious of their positions and carried a quieter humility and sense of integrity about it.  "Career politicians" solely depending on government pay was discouraged....and really not possible.

You're wrong. They outright lied during the Revolution to help anger the populace. They fabricated a cause for the Spanish-American War. The media, has never been honest and unbiased, ever.

The first step is make a run for office to change it, but you don't want to do it.....I don't want to do it....

The guys who assembled and wrote the Constitution were the political class of the day, and by any standards they were wealthy men.

That has nothing to do with influencing elections or covering up fraud for one party over the other.

Of course the media manufactured propaganda at all time through history.

How many people do you figure they could reach or could read during those times.
