I think the age thing for boomers is ridiculous. I was born in 1960. I had two sisters. One was 18 years old and the other 15 years older. They are dyed in the wool boomers. I never related to either of them politically or personally. They were all about wealth, out for themselves, and a person’s value is based on how much they earned and owned. I don’t relate at all to older boomers. Just like there’s some differences between older and younger GenX’ers. Many of the older GenX’ers are up to their eyeballs in debt, while the younger ones are much more frugal. The older GenX’ers conducted their lives like there’s no tomorrow.

Except Biden's NOT a bady boomer.

I wonder where they learned that?

Good post. I've said the same thing about being a millennial. People like to paint with a broad brush.

I agree.  I have nieces and nephews who are considered millennials, as well as friends with kids who are of that age, and those kids give the millennial generation a good name.  Hard working, professionals ... and even a couple kids that took over family farms and work their asses off & do well with it.  Don't get me wrong - I still mock the shit out of my nieces and nephews when they're face down in their phones when we have family stuff going on .... but they're smart, and working like they should be vs. mooching off mom and dad & living at home.

I'm towards the beginning of millennial age group (born in 83) but it makes my blood boil when people say we're the lazy generation.

Having spent most of my life living in blue states I can honestly say Dems are the worst. Despite their rhetoric they are racist and short sighted.

can you point to some threads or posts of mine saying that?

we've got problems for sure... but imo some are blown way out of proportion and context.

our biggest problem and hurdle to overcome is an uneducated electorate with an 11 second attention span.

Our electorate can't even do simple math.

1.5 Trillion dollar debt, 60 Billion dollar annual interest payments somehow get a far lower priority than renaming roads and schools.

Unhinged spending on low priority woke non-problems, combined with stupid carbon taxes and wealth transfer to younger generations, counting on that money.

Saddling more debt and despair on the vary people they claim to help.

I honestly want to believe they just don't know what they're doing... or don't actually care.

I still blame the left for this 100% but you are right.  There are now two sides and really, two Americas.  It ain't going back with some magical candidate who promises unity no matter what some may wish. The only variable left is how we decide what side rules...and how they do it.

I see widespread violence or war...in some simile or fashion.

How often do you think about the Roman empire?

The divide in this country only gets worse as the federal government gets more powerful.  Both sides want their way and to push that decree from the federal level.  Divisive issues like Roe v Wade were rightly overturned and sent back to the States.  Let the voters and local government decide.

The division goes to a different level with Trump in there however as many Republicans don't want him as potus either

They didn't like McCain or Romney either, both lost bigly.  Two guys we were told would bring people together as moderate Republicans.

Wasn't the same uproar from both parties as it was/is for Trump. I use to think that was a good thing, but now having seen Trump in action not so much.

didn't they both lose to Obama... the liberal leftist?   so is going even further and harder right than them be a wise decision again this time?

given the D's current candidate it might work... :dunno:

it's a shame normal people don't run for public office.
