Self inflicted. I have no sympathy. Talked to a relative who just took out a loan for an $80K pick up. During the course of the evening he was complaining about living pay check to paycheck and blaming Biden. People are fucked in the head.

Pure idiocy. I usually hand people a mirror when they complain about self inflicted problems or a pair of glasses. :lmao:

I blame on line sports betting and those money grubbing card game apps oh and the on line lotteries and casinos too. Oh for the days of the bookies where you had to make a call and leave a message…..restraint I tell ya…lmao

I find it crazy that people can obtain credit cards so easily. When i was in my late teens early 20's I couldnt get a credit card or a loan or anything. I drove some of the shittiest cars to ever roam the streets because I had to pay cash. I lived on $25 a week for groceries. I lived in some real dumps.

But I also saw several of my friends with credit cards and loans get in over their heads and file bankruptcy. I have to assume this is why I have the attitude I do now about debt and how to pay for things, whether its good or bad. However I currently have zero debt.

I live next to a Section 8 housing complex (10 units) and all but 2 or 3 of them, are driving cars that are maybe 2-3 years old.  One of them, I call the "Thing", gets a BRAND NEW car for her and her adult son what seems like every 6-8 months.  I just don't understand how you live in subsidized housing, and can purchase new vehicles like that.  Makes ZERO sense to me.

Sounds like they're drug dealers.

Dude I see hood rats driving cars way beyond their pay grade but I found out how alot of them do it. They will rent the vehicle and then never return it. They will force the rental company to come find it. Then they just do it again. LOL

Nah, they aren't smart enough for that.  Not to mention, they don't have drug dealer traffic.

we are selling 100k trucks at a steady rate. ridiculous payments over 1k a month. and you will be fixing it loooong before it's paid for.

It’s not uncommon for them to be repossessed and end up in auction. Most are abused with 15 or 20k oil changes. When I was looking for a used van I found many were bank vehicles with very poor maintenance records per carfax.

How would carfax know if the owner changed his own oil or not?

Although I guess this day in age, 98% are dumb enough to take it back to the dearlership for a lousy oil change.

I’ve always kept a flow sheet of all oil changes that stays in the owner’s manual packet. If that or a carfax report isn’t available at inspection, I walk away and leave the vehicle for a loser.
