How many Cats entered the Iron Dog Acrtic Cat boy.

More than if you count the sleds you own.  For a guy with no sled you spend a lot of time on snowmobile forums being everyone's whipping boy.

I own sleds though so it makes sense I hang out on a sled forum

You don’t. You aren’t mechanically inclined enough to unscrew the gas cap. To top it all off you don’t have any snow to even ride! :lol2:

Ski-doo’s greatest hope, team 7 is out of the race after riding into a junk yard.

The Polaris Cross Country is laying waste to the field. Bombardier needs to offer a Lynx 600 to be competitive in ‘25.

Polaris teams all seem to be having issues with rear torsion spring mount bolts.they all are checking for tight or replacing bolts .

teams are off to nome in some pretty shitty conditions!!

Leader team 14 having issues may be turning around.

torsion spring issue!!

The bolts that connect the rear arm to the tunnel? This is really weird, it’s not like that rear skid is new and the Cross Country has been out for years.  Is the course rougher than normal? Maybe the stupid gas cans they carry on their running boards add too much weight on the ass end of the sled? The Doo’s use plastic Trail Tanks that spread the weight out. Polaris needs to provide Trail Tank with a loaner Matryx trail sled so they can develop a mold to make a bigger tank.

One they are all checking or replacing is bolt 10.team 14 was changing springs went out and had to come back said need left shock but wonder if he meant spring?

was in hurry changing maybe didn’t get on right?

all Polaris teams are checking these when they get the go to start todays leg!

interesting they would have this problem?

Wow, how strange? I wonder if the race sleds came with a bad batch of bolts? But, ID racers generally swap out all their bolts for the next highest grade (at least they used to). Very odd thing to be causing problems as this skid has been out since ‘19 and that failure point should have cropped up years ago.

Polaris has this race wrapped up and won and it’s only the halfway point. The top 5 teams are all riding Polaris Cross Country’s. 7 out of the top 10 are Polaris sleds. The highest placing Ski-doo is 6th.

Strange how Polaris didn’t have this level of terrain domination back in the baler days. :haha:

Cross Country got the new 'long tail'** springs for 2024... not used on any consumer sleds yet.

** or what Arctic Cat has just called springs for two decades.

Is that the sled that caught on fire when residual/spilled fuel sparked within seconds of a fuel stop? If it is, I think the team removed the panels, re-started the sled, and then kept racing. Supposedly the team was averaging 77 mph on the current part of the race after the fire.

The local entries from the Slap-a-ho tribe are blazingly fast. White man from outside stand no chance against team Twokeet and Treefuck.

Blazing fast as long as they have all the locals willing to part on their sleds at every village and layover.

That came to an end today...
