  1. Does this belong here, or should it be its own separate thread? For what it's worth, I like BRP. I even own a SeaDoo. Whenever bad news involving a snowmobile company hits the news, however, people on this site rush to publish it. I figured I try it out. https://sgbonline.com/ski-doo-parent-brp-inc-comes-up-short-in-q1-despite-late-season-snow/?fbclid=IwY2xjawKscgpleHRuA2FlbQIxMABicmlkETF3Q0FxSk5lM2NoMGRqdWxNAR5M-9Gvwbq45MZDm2rwOHTOT3sIrTaZjD7ZdEjaKeR5tHTUS2mBDo5xfgwVFQ_aem_5E59FpK8GVvoAa-sMNgX-A
  2. What are the racers getting for top speed on the straights?
  3. That sounds just like what we're experiencing in Maine. I have put exactly 0 miles on my sled. January has been a COLD, snowless month. A couple of spots way up north have a few inches on the ground, but the conditions are not worth the drive to get there. On the other hand, the ice is 18" thick on the lake where I have a camp. Maybe I'll stud my four-wheeler tires and ride around on the lake while hoping some of the snow that people are getting out west magically appears here. This is the fifth shitty year in a row.
  4. That ZR8000 is impressive. In the video, it hauls the friggin' mail.
  5. The 600-class sleds in the shootout video are base models. The Ski-Doo in the comparison comes equipped with budget shocks that do not perform nearly as well as those on Doo's upper-level models. Now that I've watched a shootout on base models, I'd like to see one on the high performance 600-class sleds.
  6. That's a sharp looking sled. Is there something a bit strange about the steering system? In the video, it looks like the handlebars are cranked to the left and then to the right, but the skis don't seem to turn at the same rate/angle as the handlebars do. Maybe it's just the camera angle in the video. Check at the 5:00 mark.
  7. This is shaping up to be the fifth lousy winter in a row in Central Maine, an area of the state that used to consistently provide months of good riding. Last year we had a little over two weeks of decent riding. Two WEEKS, not months. If this winter doesn't start producing snow soon, I'll consider abandoning the sport, but as with the previous four winters, I probably won't follow through.
  8. When it comes to the UFC, I like Joe Rogan's commentary. I've never listened to him outside of the UFC, however. With that being said, I'm sure some of his podcast audience might have liked to hear information from the other party, but . . . "Fox News host Howard Kurtz reported that Vice President Kamala Harris wanted to do an interview with Joe Rogan but the popular podcaster refused."
  9. Follow-up stories are indicating that just like the people-eating-pet-dogs narrative, this one is likely false. Here's one of the current follow-up news stories: "According to reporter James Surowiecki, 'the complaint is riddled with red flags that cast doubt on its authenticity. Laura Loomer has the complaint the supposed "ABC whistleblower" submitted to the SEC, and it is weird. ABC News is not a subsidiary of "Disney Media Networks," and someone who worked at ABC would know that,' he noted. 'ABC was part of a division called Disney Media Networks until 2020, but Disney did a reorganization that year, and ABC is now part of Disney General Entertainment. Again, someone high enough up at ABC to have been in on conversations with the Harris campaign would know that. Another of the odd things about this complaint is that the whistleblower keeps referring to it as "ABC news," with "news" uncapitalized. Again, that's not something a higher-up at ABC would do,' he continued." Will this story end up being yet another bit of fake news? I don't know. I personally think it's better to wait for all the facts to appear than it is to immediately post a questionable story that won't change anyone's mind on FS.
  10. My Land Cruiser makes 135 horsepower and 210 ft. lbs of torque. It's 46 years old, however.
  11. By now, I think most of you have discovered that the people-eating-pets-in-Springfield story is fake.
  12. Lincoln Investments, the company I use for stocks and for retirement savings, sent me this earlier this year:
  13. "More than a decade after the attack, while incarcerated for attacking five other women in 1989, serial rapist Matias Reyes confessed to the Meili assault and claimed he was the only actor. DNA evidence confirmed his involvement.[4] "
  14. For what it's worth in the "Was he a Republican or a Dem?" debate:
  15. I visited my city's "What Happening in _________________" FB page this morning. I know you jokingly posted the ketchup stuff, but there are a TON of people on the FB page who are claiming the shooting was a false flag that involved blood capsules and crisis actors. When I checked back a few minutes ago, they were discussing the "impossible" trajectory of a bullet that was photographed on its way through the air. Thanks to the gullible ArcticCrusher-type people of the world, conspiracy theories are the new norm for all political parties now.
  16. Some information in the Epstein documents has just been unsealed. Based on that unsealing, "John Doe 174," a name that is mentioned frequently in the documents, is actually Donald Trump. More details are expected to emerge over the next few days.
  17. "Michael Anderson," the guy who made the post, followed up by saying he is a professional shit-poster who was "aggressively" posting shit to rile people up. He told people to calm down because he was just trolling. There is no truth to his juror story.
  18. On "The Five" yesterday, Jesse Waters said that the crowd size in New Jersey was about 30,000. (He then said Biden would have drawn 29,500 fewer people.)
  19. District Attorney Sandra Doorley, the subject of this thread, is a Republican.
  20. Thank you for the updates this season. Is the "PRO Points Winner" information that you posted based on the Duluth weekend only? Final standings for the season -- PRO 1. Harr -- Polaris (352 points) 2. Lebel -- Ski-Doo (311) 3. Pelletier -- Ski-Doo (310) 4. Yurk -- Arctic Cat (281) 5. Peterson -- Polaris (265)

$50 million in April is a big step for Trump, even though he still has some catching up to do. The next seven months will be interesting. These are the stats at the end of March: Trump: $66 million raised in March; $93 million on hand (total) Biden: $90 million in March; $192 million on hand (total)
  22. Since wet weights are being used, are any of the sleds heavier due to bigger gas tanks and/or more coolant capacity than what their rivals have?
  23. Monday, March 4
  24. Is that the sled that caught on fire when residual/spilled fuel sparked within seconds of a fuel stop? If it is, I think the team removed the panels, re-started the sled, and then kept racing. Supposedly the team was averaging 77 mph on the current part of the race after the fire.
