Wasn't today but was a couple days ago.

That's 3300 lbs of pin weight easily on a truck with 1500 lbs of payload, minus weight of hitch, two adults, two large dogs...  1 ton dually weight in on a half ton.

I see way too much of this kind of stuff working right off the interstate near a 'truck stop'.

Just because it 'does', doesn't mean you should.

On my road trip out west, you'd probably not be surprised the amount of campers going down the road behind half ton pick-ups looking like that - these people are nuts IMO.  There was a 25-35mph cross wind coming back across SD last Friday - I was shocked not to see any of them in the ditch.  Half of them clearly didn't have load leveling and anti-sway bar kits - ridiculous.

I don't know what's allowed down there but I see a lot of b-trains up here where guys pull the boat hooked to the camper. Finally saw one set up pulled over this year. It's only allowed in specific set ups but guys just use anything.

Not today but this was parked at my Marina couple weeks ago.   Harry Gant replica.   Thought it was pretty cool.

I don't think Gant ever drove a chevy. He was always in a Buick in those years. Cool nonetheless.

Old jags were always electrical nightmares.

When I was a little kid a guy in town had one that nobody could get to run right. My dad was a cop but got his mechanics license in trade school in London and worked as a mech. there and figured it out for him.

I know that tandem trailers aren't allowed in Maine., lol

We used to go to Bangor, ME to pickup our canoes and kayaks from Old Town instead of paying the freight. They also sold 10 hauler open canoe trailers that were setup to haul tandem by adding a trailer ball. The hookup for the lights and safety chains were in place. We didn't know the laws and Old Town sold us the extra trailer knowing what we were going to do and didn't tell us that it wasn't legal.

Anyway, we sent a guy up to pickup the load. He got going down the turnpike and the trailers started to sway back and forth. He got nervous and hit the brakes, trailers tumbled and the State Troopers informed the driver that it wasn't legal, lol

Just went to WI and back with my camper.  Over 4600 miles.  Saw all kinds of shit like this, but this was the most egregious.  This Van Leigh is way bigger than Cougars and Reflections, which I saw plenty of behind half tonners too.

friend owns a towing company... have seen pics of the 1/2T p/u, 5th whl camper + SXS's on a trailer IN THE DITCH accidents.

used to be the state boys had zero tolerance for it but since 2020 they seem to let shit slide and wait for the radio calls.

Fortunately they were all plastic boats and no fiberglass boats on the load. Just a few scuff marks and bent trailer arms.
